With over 30 years experience as an innovative and reflective teacher, her areas of interest include engaging students through active and collaborative learning; transforming F2F and online curriculum to meet the needs of diverse learners (especially those from new and emerging generations); the scholarship of teaching and learning; electronic portfolios; and connecting learning goals with outcomes and assessment. She is the recipient of several teaching awards, including California s Professor of the Year in conjunction with the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching.
