Market Street Washington C.H., Ohio (740) JUNE NEWS Last updated 07/07/ CRUELTY TO ANIMALS: Ellen Miller, of Bloomingburg reported a known subject kicked her dog in the head. The incident remains under investigation. THEFT / RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY: Ronda Shiltz, of Washington CH, reported her son s tablet computer had been stolen while he was at his father s residence. The item was located at a local pawn shop, and a warrant was issued for Receiving Stolen Property for Dale Duncan who pawned the item. Duncan was arrest on the warrant on July 2 nd, CRIMINAL TRESPASS / THEFT: Diane Munro, Washington CH reported person(s) unknown removed property from her yard. FIELD FIRE: Anthony Anderson, of Mt. Sterling reported his wheat field on Post Rd caught fire while being harvested. Bloomingburg-Paint-Marion Twp Fire Department, with mutual aid from Tri-County Fire Department and Pic-a-Fay Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire. Approximately 10 acres of wheat was lost. WANTED PERSON: While investigating another complaint in Bloomingburg, deputies learned that one of the parties involved had an outstanding warrant from the City of Washington CH. Joshua Queen, of Bloomingburg, was arrested on the warrant and transported to the Fayette Co. Jail. CIVIL: Mark Newport of Jeffersonville, OH reported a known female took a vehicle and the title to the vehicle after it had been notarized. The victim was referred to prosecutor. GAMBLING: While Sheriff s deputies were checking a suspicious vehicle on the parking lot of Flying J truck stop deputies located a male subject in gambling activity. Larry Newton of Cincinnati, OH was arrested in incident. CRIMINAL TRESPASS: Charlotte Hake of Scottsdale, AZ reported a known subject was trespassing on his property and was not permitted to be there. DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Pam Thornburg of Washington CH, OH reported a known subject arrived for visitation and was causing a disturbance. The male subject departed prior to deputies arrival.

2 THEFT: Judy Gentry of Washington CH, OH reported person(s) unknown removed an iron gate from her property. CULTIVATION OF MARIJUANA, MARIJUANA DRUG PARAPHERNALIA: Sheriff s Deputies were dispatched to the Bloomingburg Trailer Park on a complaint of drug activity. After given permission to search, sheriff s deputies located several marijuana plants, and related drug paraphernalia inside a residence. Harold Tommy Crabtree was taken into custody and charged in the offense. TRAFFIC CRASH: Carl M. Perkins of Sabina, Ohio was traveling eastbound on U S Rte 35 from the Palmer Road entrance ramp when Perkins struck a tire in the roadway. The vehicle suffered moderate damage. No injuries were reported TRAFFIC CRASH Melissa Hancock, Washington CH reported she was north bound on SR 41 when she attempted to turn into the parking lot of the Marathon Station. She failed to notice another vehicle south bound on SR 41, being driven by Max Geer, Washington CH. Mr. Geer tried to avoid the collision by steering left of center but did strike the right rear of Ms. Hancock s. None of the occupants reported any injuries. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage and were towed from the scene. Ms. Hancock was cited for failure to yield on left turn, driving under suspension, and with expired registration. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Sheriff s Deputies were dispatched to 2400 block of Staunton-Sugar Grove Road on a domestic disturbance. The female reported known subjects were involved in a verbal and physical altercation. The offense remains under investigation BREAKING & ENTERING / THEFT: Tyler Muncie, of Mt. Sterling reported over the past several days person(s) unknown had entered his barn and removed an ATV without permission. TRAFFIC CRASH: John Bihl, of Hillsboro reported he was south bound on US 62 near Patton Rd, when a deer entered his lane of travel and was subsequently struck. Mr. Bihl s vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene. The deer was not located. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Sheriff s deputies responded to Delaware St on a domestic incident. Upon arrival deputies identified all parties involved. All parties advised they became involved in a verbal argument and no assault or threats of violence had occurred. THEFT/CRIMINAL TRESPASS: Adam Vanslyke of Washington CH, Oh reports person(s) unknown entered onto his property and removed items from a vehicle. TRAFFIC CRASH: Kyle Minx of Bowersville, Oh was traveling north on Allen Rd and lost control of his vehicle. Minx traveled off the right side of the roadway overcorrected traveling off the left side of the roadway striking a utility pole. Minx was treated at the scene by EMS personnel and released. The vehicle sustained heavy damage in the crash and was towed from the scene. Minx was cited for Failure to Control and OVI.

3 DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Sheriff s deputies responded to Upper Jamestown Rd on a domestic incident. Upon arrival deputies identified all parties involved. All parties advised they became involved in a verbal argument and no assault or threats of violence had occurred. CASUALTY: Sheriff s deputies responded to White Rd on reports of a female that had fallen down the stairs of a residence and was unresponsive. Deputies arrived on scene locating the female involved with visible injuries from the fall. EMS arrived on scene transporting the female for treatment of her injuries. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Jonathan Duncan of Washington CH, Oh reported while driving by the residence of a known person he was threatened. Deputies received conflicting statements in incident. All parties advised to cease all contact. TRAFFIC CRASH: Jillian Greenriver, of Columbus, reported she was east bound on Cook- Yankeetown Rd when she attempted to turn left onto US 62. She failed to observe another vehicle that was north bound on US 62, driven by Ted Stanley, of Leesburg and upon entering the intersection she struck the Stanley vehicle in the driver s side. No one reported any injuries and both vehicles sustained only minor damage and were driven from the scene. Ms. Greenriver was cited for failure to yield at an intersection. DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Deputies responded to a report of an argument in the middle of the Clyburn St., with aggressive dogs involved. Upon arrival all the involved parties, indicated only a verbal dispute and no physical altercation. All parties were warned that any further incidents would result in arrests. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Helen Mitchell, Jeffersonville reported she was involved in a verbal argument with a known subject. Ms. Mitchell denied any threats of harm or physical incident. The suspect departed prior to the deputy s arrival. BREAKING & ENTERING / THEFT Tyler Muncie, of Mt. Sterling reported over the previous two days person(s) unknown removed an ATV from the property without permission. ASSIST OTHER AGENCY EMS / DISORDERLY CONDUCT BY INTOXICATION Deputies responded to the Travel Centers of America on a reported drug overdose. Upon arriving Deputies located a female unconscious and unresponsive in a vehicle. The Deputy began life saving efforts while waiting for EMS to arrive. The female was subsequently transported to Fayette Memorial Hospital for further treatment. A male at the scene, identified as Dashon Harris, of Washington CH was found to be under the influence of an unknown substance and appeared to be unable to stay awake and care for himself. Mr. Harris was arrested for Disorderly Conduct by Intoxication and transported to the Fayette Co. Jail. TRAFFIC OFFENSE / ABANDONED CAR IN ROADWAY: Deputies responded to a report of a vehicle left in the roadway at the intersection of SR 38 and Lewis Rd. The vehicle was a traffic hazard and neither the driver or owner could be located. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

4 THEFT BY DECEPTION The management of Denny s restaurant report that an employee had been terminated due to continuing shortages in their register drawer. Investigation is continuing TRAFFIC CRASH Scott Runnells, of Washington CH reported he was backing out of a parking space in the alley behind his residence when he struck a DP&L underground electric box, causing the box to catch on fire. The utility box was damaged by both the impact and the fire. Washington CH Fire Department and DP&L responded to the scene. Mr. Runnells was cited for Failure to Control and Driving Under Suspension. TRAFFIC CRASH: Anne Dennison of Columbus, OH was traveling south on S.R 41 attempting to make a right turn into Arby s parking lot when the front wheel of Denison s vehicle came off causing damage to the right side of the vehicle. No injuries were reported. TRAFFIC CRASH: Tosha Alexander of Washington CH, OH was traveling south on Carr Rd when Rex Webb of Danville, KY turned left out of Wendy s parking lot causing a collision. No injuries were reported. Webb was cited for Failure to Yield. MENACING: Tawnya Lovett, of Washington CH reported she has been informed by others that known subjects were making threatening statements about her on social media. These messages were not sent to her or forwarded by the other persons, therefore the Deputy was unable to view these messages. CRIMINAL DAMAGING / UNAUTHORIZED USE OF MOTOR VEHICLE: Amber Ellison, of Jeffersonville reported she allowed a friend to use a vehicle in her possession, actually owned by another subject. Ellison was later informed that the male who borrowed the vehicle had been arrested and was in the Fayette Co. Jail. The vehicle was later returned to her residence by unknown person(s), but had been damaged. Ms. Ellison declined charges in this matter and only wanted a report on the damages for insurance purposes. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Robert Childers of Hillsboro, Oh reported while in a verbal argument with known female, he was assaulted. Signs of physical assault were observed by the responding deputy. Amanda Johnson was arrested in incident. BURGLARY/ THEFT: Dean Waddle of Washington CH, Oh reported person(s) unknown entered the residence and removed items from inside. DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Rebecca Hedges of Washington CH, Oh reported while walking she was approached by a male subject with the male subject advising inappropriate comments to her. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Sheriff s deputies responded to S.R 207 on a domestic complaint. Upon arrival, sheriff s deputies identified all parties involved in the incident and determined that no assault or threats of violence had occurred.

5 DISORDERLY BY INTOXICATION: Sheriff s deputies responded to S.R 753 on an intoxicated person. Upon arrival deputies made contact with Melissa Tackett. Tackett was being belligerent and disruptive during the deputy s investigation. Tackett was arrested in incident. TRAFFIC CRASH: Brandt Stinson of Washington CH, Ohio was traveling eastbound near 6673 Milledgeville-Octa Road when Stinson failed to maintain control of his motor vehicle. Stinson traveled off of the south side of the roadway, striking a mail and two parked cars owned by Steven Anders of Washington CH, Ohio. The vehicles suffered moderate damages. No injuries were reported. Stinson was cited for failure to control. THEFT: An employee of T/A reported an unknown male had purchased five hundred dollars in fuel with a fraudulent check. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE BY THREATS: Jonathan W. Duncan reported he been receiving threatening telephone calls from a known family member THEFT: Martin Gerard of South Solon, Oh reported after leaving his wallet on the counter of Midway Sunoco when he returned his wallet was missing. NEIGHBOR DISPUTE/CRIMINAL TRESPASS: Brittany Everetts of Jeffersonville, Oh reported her neighbor entered onto her property removing fence that the neighbor s property owner gave her. FOUND PROPERTY: Robin Beekman of Bloomingburg, Oh reported she located a bb gun on State St, Jeffersonville, Oh. Sheriff s deputies made contact with Beekman retrieving the bb gun. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Sheriff s deputies made contact with Howard Gardner on a domestic dispute complaint. Gardner wanted a report filed on incident. ASSAULT: Katrina Hanes of Washington CH, Oh reported during a verbal argument with known subject she was assaulted. Hanes refused prosecution in the matter. BREAKING AND ENTERING / THEFT: Kenneth Kirkpatrick, of New Holland, reported that persons unknown had removed several items from his farm equipment on his property. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Robert Hawkins, of Jeffersonville reported he and his girlfriend, April Grubb, of Bloomingburg were in an argument over property. Both parties denied any threats or physical altercation. Ms. Grubb departed the residence without further incident. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE / THREATS: A report of domestic violence was made by a female resident in Jeffersonville. A warrant was issued for the male subject involved TRAFFIC CRASH: Jeremy Cauwels, of Hemlock, NY reported he was southbound on IR-71 at the 65 mm when a dog entered the roadway and into his lane of travel. The dog was

6 subsequently struck and was located deceased at the scene. The Cauwels vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed away. There were no reported injuries in the vehicle. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Julianne Heckert, of Jeffersonville, reported she was involved in an argument with a known subject while at a friend s house. During the argument she claims the male threatened to kick in the door to their apartment when she failed to give him the key. The apartment was checked and was found not to have been damaged. The male subject was located. He acknowledged a verbal argument and denied threatening to kick in the door. The male agreed to not return to the apartment that night. Neither party reported any threats or physical altercation. VEHICLE FIRE: Brian Cerney, of Cincinnati reported as he was driving north bound on IR-71 near the 63 mm, a fire began in his 2001 Toyota Corolla. Upon the Deputies arrival at the scene the vehicle was totally involved in fire. The Jefferson Twp Fire Department arrived and extinguished the fire. The vehicle was a total loss. THEFT: Sarah Sizemore of Washington CH, Oh reports known subject departed the residence with her property. Known subject later returned returning the property to Sizemore. TRAFFIC CRASH: A vehicle was traveling north on Highland Avenue, going left left of center striking a vehicle operated by Tracy Lemaster of Greenfield, Ohio. The vehicle then then traveled off the roadway striking a fire hydrant and then departed the scene of the crash. No injuries were reported. Lemaster s vehicle was towed from the scene. THEFT: Sam McDaniel of Bloomingburg, Ohio reported that during the overnight hours unknown person(s) had removed a bicycle from his property. B & E / THEFT: Shawn Vassar of Washington C.H., Ohio reported that unknown person(s) entered a detached garage and removed personal property. VEHICLE DAMAGE: Terry Thomas of Washington C.H., Ohio reported that a steel plate that was placed at his driveway by the paving company caused damage to his vehicles exhaust. GROSS SEXUAL IMPOSITION: A Fayette County man was arrested on June 17, 2014 and charged with Gross Sexual Imposition stemming from an investigation by the Fayette County Sheriff s Office involving a juvenile victim. Tony L. Bonham, Age 21 of Washington Court House, Ohio was identified as the suspect in the investigation. According to Sheriff Vernon Stanforth, his office received and investigated a complaint of inappropriate sexual contact between Bonham and a juvenile victim that occurred in the area of the Village of Bloomingburg on or about June 4, During the investigation, evidence obtained by sheriff s detectives led to the arrest of Bonham, said Stanforth. Bonham was incarcerated in the Fayette County Jail pending his initial court appearance scheduled for June 18, Bonham appeared before the Washington Court House Municipal Court and subsequently released from jail after posting bond set by the Court.

7 TRAFFIC CRASH: The Fayette County Sheriff s Office is currently investigating an injury traffic crash involving two semi-tractor trailers and a passenger vehicle that occurred on Interstate 71 South near Milepost 70 in Jefferson Twp., Fayette County, Ohio. The crash was reported Wednesday morning, June 25, 2014 at 6:25 a.m. According to Sheriff Vernon Stanforth, the driver of a 2005 Freightliner tractor-trailer operated by Charles Wilson of St. Louis, Missouri was traveling southbound on Interstate 71 near State Route #41 and was struck from behind by a southbound 2012 Kenworth tractor-trailer operated by Thomas G. Stanley of Aurora, Indiana. Just prior to the crash, the semi- tractor operated by Wilson reportedly began losing power and Wilson reported driving at a reduced speed in the far right lane of Interstate 71 with his hazard lights in operation, attempting to reach an exit for repairs. Following impact between the two semi tractor-trailers, a southbound 2003 Ford Explorer operated by James L. Buehler of London, Ohio struck vehicle debris from the crash scene causing minor damage to his vehicle. Wilson reported minor injury in the crash but refused treatment at the scene by Fayette County EMS. Stanley was entrapped in his vehicle and was extricated by members of the Jefferson Twp. Fire Department and Sheriff s Rescue Unit. Buehler reported no injury in the crash. Stanley was transported from the scene by Fayette County EMS to Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio for medical treatment. Stanley s 2012 Kenworth sustained heavy damage in the crash and was towed from the scene. Wilson s 2005 Freightliner sustained heavy damage to the cargo trailer and was also towed from the scene. The crash remains under investigation by the Fayette County Sheriff s Office. In addition to EMS and fire personnel, the Sheriff s Office was assisted at the scene by the Ohio Department of Transportation and the Ohio State Highway Patrol Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Unit NEIGHBOR DISPUTE: Rita Anders of Milledgeville reported that her neighbor was taking pictures of her grandchildren while they were in the yard playing. BURGLARY/THEFT: Hazel Rowland of Bloomingburg, Ohio reported that unknown person(s) broke a kitchen window out of her residence and removed medication. THEFT: Kyle Bennett of Washington C.H., Ohio reported his cellular phone was taken by a known person. Bennett was referred to the solicitor for charges. CRIMINAL TRESPASSING: Neal Noble of Washington C.H., Ohio reported that a vehicle entered his barn lot and parked behind his barn. Upon deputies arrival a male and female was located on the property. Jessica Lane of Hillsboro, Ohio and Jorden Reedy of Washington C.H., Ohio were arrested in the incident. DRUG ABUSE: While deputies were checking a disabled vehicle on U.S. 35 near mile post 22 a small plastic baggie containing marijuana was located inside the vehicle. Bryce Jones of Chillicothe, Ohio was charged in the incident. TRAFFIC CRASH: Whitney Starcher of New Holland, Ohio was traveling southbound in the 2000 block of White Rd when Starcher struck a deer in the roadway. No injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained minor damage.

8 TRAFFIC CRASH: Val Sigler of Chillicothe, Ohio was traveling southbound on Interstate 71 near mile post 65 when Sigler attempted to change lanes in a 2012 Nissan. Sigler struck a 2010 Honda operated by Rebecca Fisher of Canal Winchester, Ohio when changing lanes causing Fisher s vehicle to travel off the left side of the roadway into the median. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage and were towed from the scene. Sigler was cited in the crash. THEFT: Lora Dunnagan of Washington C.H., Ohio reported that person(s) unknown entered her vehicle parked at her residence and removed property from inside TELEPHONE HARRASSMENT: Todd Brown of Washington CH, Oh reported a known subject called his business cell phone several times. The known subject was contacted and advised to cease the calls. TRAFFIC CRASH: Jeffery Batten of Greenville, Oh was traveling on the parking lot of Fayette Progressive when Batten struck a parked vehicle on the lot. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles sustained minor damage in the crash. CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Russell Stookey of Washington CH, Oh reported person(s) unknown damaged two lights mounted on his garage. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Ashley Brown of Jeffersonville, Oh reported after a verbal argument with a known male subject she received a text message from a known female harassing her about the incident. TRAFFIC CRASH: David Samples of Batavia, Oh was traveling south on IR 71. The tire of Samples vehicle blew causing the vehicle to travel into the left lane striking a vehicle operated by Tony Wilson of Salem Tn. No injuries were reported. Samples vehicle sustained heavy damage and was towed from the scene. CRIMINAL TRESPASSING/THEFT: Ronda M. Bowling of Washington CH, Ohio reported sometime during the evening hours persons unknown trespassed on her residential property and removed personal property. PRIVATE PROPERTY CRASH: David Darney of Jonesboro, Arizona was backing his tractortrailer from a parking space at the T/A Travel Center when Darney struck a parked tractor-trailer operated by Nisar Bhatti of New Jersey, New Jersey. Both vehicles suffered minor damages. No injuries were reported. DOG BITE: Garett Lemay of Jeffersonville, Ohio reported while at Moore Acre Lake he was bitten by canine. No known owner of the canine DOMESTIC VIOLENCE BY THREATS: An employee of Fayette County Memorial Hospital reported a patient made verbal threats of harm about a family member.

9 NEIGHBOR DISPUTE: James V. Green of Washington CH, Ohio reported he was in a verbal dispute with a neighbor. Both parties were counseled. CRIMINAL TRESPASS/ THEFT: Owen G. Ivers of Washington CH, Ohio reported persons unknown trespassed on his residential property and removed personal property. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Cody B. Whitaker of Jeffersonville, Ohio reported he was involved in verbal dispute with a known subject. BURGLARY/ THEFT: Kimberly J. Fredrick of Washington CH, Ohio reported a known subject entered her residence without permission and removed cash. Ms. Fredrick declined prosecution at the time of the report. CIVIL DISPUTE: Brenda J. Jones of Washington CH, Ohio reported she was involved in a tenant-landlord dispute over removing personal property from the rented address. MENACING: Terra N. Gibbs of Washington CH, Ohio reported she was verbally threatened by a known female. Ms. Gibbs was referred to the city solicitor INJURY CRASH: Andrew Knowles of Greenfield, Ohio was traveling westbound on Washington-Waterloo Rd., stopping at the Old Springfield Rd. intersection. Knowles, whom had the Right-of Way, began making a left hand turn (south) onto Old Springfield Rd. when he was struck by a westbound motorcyclist that had failed to yield at the intersection on Washington- Waterloo Rd. The operator of the motorcycle, Charles Yahn of Washington CH, Ohio was ejected from the motorcycle sustaining non-life threatening injuries. Yahn was transported by squad to Fayette County Memorial Hospital where he was flown by Med Flight to Grant Medical Center. TRAFFIC CRASH/HIT SKIP: Amit Patel of Galena, Oh reported while parked at the Tanger Outlets Mall person(s) unknown backed their vehicle into his causing damage. Patel s vehicle sustained minor damage in the crash. TRAFFIC CRASH/HIT SKIP: An unknown vehicle was traveling east on Bloomingburg New Holland Rd. making a right turn onto Lewis Rd and struck a stop sign then departed the scene. FAILURE TO CONFINE DOG: Lance Stults of Washington CH, Oh reported his neighbor allows her dog to run at large. Sheriff s deputies made contact with owner of the dog advising her of the dog being at large. TRAFFIC CRASH: Kyle Persons of Grove City, Oh was traveling south on S.R 207 and lost control of his vehicle. Persons traveled off the right side of the roadway. Persons overcorrected traveling off the left side of the roadway striking a tree. No injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained heavy damage in the crash and was towed from the scene. Persons was cited for Failure to Control. TRAFFIC CRASH: William Adkins of Jeffersonville, Oh was traveling south on Allen Rd. Adkins failed to maintain assured clear distance ahead striking the rear of a vehicle operated by

10 Christy Matthes of Mansfield, Oh while stopped at the intersection of Allen Rd and S.R 435. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles sustained minor damage in the crash. UNRULY: A resident of Bloomingburg, reported her son left the residence without permission. The juvenile was located, arrested and transported to the juvenile detention center. TRAFFIC CRASH: Todd Oesterle was traveling west on Hidy Rd in a marked sheriff s cruiser when he struck a water meter lid in the roadway damaging the vehicle. TRAFFIC CRASH: Ashley Pitts of Washington CH, Oh was traveling south on S.R 38 and lost control of her vehicle. Pitts traveled off the right side of the roadway striking a utility pole. Pitts was treated at the scene by medical personnel for minor injuries. Moderate damage was sustained to the vehicle. Pitts was cited for Failure to Control UNRULY: A Washington CH resident reported her juvenile daughter left the residence without permission. The juvenile later arrived at the residence. No charges were filed. POSSESSION OF DRUG ABUSE INSTRUMENTS: Sheriff s deputies responded to Grace St, Washington CH, Oh on reports of a juvenile being unattended inside a vehicle. Deputies arrived making contact with Jami Ferguson and the involved juvenile. Washington CH probation officers were then requested to the scene conducting a probationary search locating Hypodermic needles and drug paraphernalia. Jami Ferguson was arrested in incident. IMPROPERLY HANDLING FIREARM IN MOTOR VEHICLE: Sheriff s deputies responded to Jamison Rd on a complaint. While conducting an investigation officers made contact with Dalton Wilson of Washington CH who shined a laser pointer on persons involved in the investigation. When making contact with Wilson deputies located a firearm inside Wilson s vehicle. Wilson was arrested in incident. DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Sheriff s deputies responded to Pettit s New Martinsburg on reports of a male subject causing a disturbance inside the business. Deputies made contact with known male subject advising him not to return to the business. INJURY CRASH: Tabitha Nelson of Leesburg, Ohio was traveling southbound near 3103 U.S. Rte 62 North when Nelson went left of center. Nelson over corrected when re-entering the southbound lane of travel, failing to maintain control of motor vehicle. Nelson s vehicle went off the west side of the roadway into the ditch, causing the motor vehicle to roll over. THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE: Daisy Farinas of Ocala, FL reported after parking his semitractor and trailer at the Loves truck stop Farinas returned finding his semi-tractor had been stolen. The semi was later recovered by Madison County Sheriff s Office. CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Chris Snyder of Midway, Oh reported after a verbal argument with known subject at the Village Pump known subject departed the establishment causing damage to his motorcycle TRAFFIC CRASH: Allan Snyder of Bloomingburg, Oh while backing his vehicle from a parking space at the Family Dollar store, Snyder struck another vehicle parked at the business. Both vehicles sustained minor damage in the crash. No injuries were reported. CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: An employee of Fayette County Transportation reports person(s) unknown loosened the lug nuts on a transportation vehicle.

TRAFFIC CRASH: Shawn Harris of Jeffersonville, Oh was traveling north on S.R 729 and lost control of his vehicle. Harris traveled off the left side of the roadway striking a guardrail, Harris continued back across the roadway traveling off the right side of the roadway striking a guardrail. No injuries were reported. Harris was cited for Failure to Control. TRAFFIC CRASH: Pauline Sanders of Washington CH, Oh was traveling north on S.R 62 when a dog entered the path of Sanders vehicle causing sanders to strike the dog. No injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained minor damage in the crash BREAKING & ENTERING/THEFT: Brandi Lovell of Jeffersonville, Oh reports person(s) unknown entered her garage and removed items from inside. TRAFFIC CRASH Roger Stockwell, of Jeffersonville, reported while backing from a parking space at the Family Dollar Store in Jeffersonville, he backed into a parked vehicle owned by Jamie Massie, of South Solon. Minor damage was sustained to Ms. Massie s vehicle and no damage to Mr. Stockwell s vehicle. MENACING Dena Williamson, Washington CH reported an unknown male stopped at her driveway and made threats towards two male juvenile s that were in her yard. The male departed without incident. CRIMINAL MISCHIEF David Barrett, Bloomingburg reported that person(s) unknown have been placing various items in his mailbox. RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY: Tammy Everhart, Jeffersonville, reported she located property at Bennett s salvage that she had previously reported as stolen. Investigation is continuing. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Alveda Sizemore reported that a family member Joseph Sizemore threatened to cause her physical harm. The male was arrested and transported to the Fayette Co. Jail on this charge. THEFT: Denna Ison, of Jeffersonville reported person(s) unknown removed her purse from her unlocked vehicle while it was parked in the lot at Family Dollar store in Jeffersonville. TRAFFIC CRASH: Richard Wilkerson, Washington CH was north bound on US 62 near Bloomingburg-New Holland Rd, in his pickup truck pulling a travel trailer. The truck and trailer traveled off the right side of the roadway, over corrected and went off the left side of the roadway, where the truck and trailer overturned and stuck a fence owned by Midland Acres. Both truck and trailer sustained disabling damage and were towed from the scene. Mr. Wilkerson was cited for failure to control. CRIMINAL TRESPASS While on patrol at 812 Delaware Ave. Deputies heard a verbal argument and upon investigating found that Whitney Delong, of Washington CH was arguing with Mary Matthews, a resident at 812 Delaware Ave. Ms. Matthews states that she had repeatedly told Delong not to come to her residence. While investigating this incident the

12 property manager arrived and also reported that she had told Delong not to be on the property. Delong was arrested for Criminal Trespass. THEFT / RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY: While investigating another complaint at 812 Delaware, Whitney Delong and Clifford Morris, both of Washington CH were found to possess and conceal property that was found to have been stolen from Victor Curnutte, of Washington CH. Delong was charged with Theft and Morris was charged with Receiving Stolen Property. RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY: Robert Romohr, Washington CH reports that he had had a theft of items from his property in Ross Co. Upon checking with Cohen Recycling he located the property that had been taken. Upon checking with the staff at Cohen Recycling they identified Jolene Yahn, of Washington CH as the subject who had sold the items. Yahn was arrested on the charge. TELEPHONE HARASSMENT Todd Cottrell, Washington CH reported he has been receiving numerous telephone calls from an unknown subject who states he is unhappy with a business transaction. Attempts were made to contact the other party by telephone without success GROSS SEXUAL IMPOSITION A 15 year old female juvenile reported while shopping at the Tanger Outlet Mall an unknown male approached her and inappropriately touched her. When she challenged him, he fled the store and departed. The area was searched but the suspect was not located. THEFT: Shirley Pettit, owner of Pettit s Market, Bloomingburg reports that two employees had been confronted about stealing merchandise from the business. The employee s Elizabeth Walley, of Washington CH, and Brittney Kinman, of Bloomingburg, both admitted to stealing food items and resigned. Ms. Pettit requested that charges be filed. Both subjects were issued summons for the Theft offense. TRAFFIC CRASH: Tosha Crone, of Blanchester reported she was north bound on IR-71 at the 64 mm when she struck debris in the roadway that caused minor damage to the front of her vehicle. MENACING Bethany Minzler, Washington CH, reported an unknown male on a motorcycle passed her and then stopped in the roadway, causing her to stop. The male then threatened physical harm towards her. Ms. Minzler departed the scene without further incident. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Diana Rutter, Washington CH reported while fishing in Paint Creek, a known male drove by, stopped and yelled at her, then departed. She reported no further incident occurred and requested only that the incident be documented. THEFT: Ronda Bowling, Washington CH, stated that her neighbor borrowed her mower and reportedly took it to be repaired. Upon checking with the repair shop she found that the known subject sold the mower to the shop.

13 ROBBERY: Anthony Ervin, Washington CH, reported he attempted to purchase illegal drugs from two known subjects. There was a subsequent reported argument concerning quantity of drugs and purchase price and Ervin states the suspects physically took his money. During the struggle Mr. Ervin stated that he was bit several times by a dog. The incident remains under investigation. DOMESTIC: Deputies were dispatched to the block of State Route 38 on a domestic incident. Deputies observed signs of assault on a female at the residence. Jeffery Wilson of Bloomingburg, Ohio was arrested in the incident. TRAFFIC CRASH: Sara Ackerman of Hillsboro, Ohio was traveling southbound on U.S. Route 62 near the Highland County Line. A deer entered the roadway and was struck by Ackerman s 2003 Buick. No injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained minor damage. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Sheriff s deputies were dispatched to the 400 block of Peddicord Ave. on a domestic dispute BREAKING & ENTERING/THEFT: Deputies received an alarm activation at the Lions Den in Jeffersonville, Ohio. Upon the deputies arrival the glass in the door was discovered broken. Person(s) unknown removed cash from the business. THEFT/VANDALISM: Rick Fagan of Gusweiler GM Center reported that person(s) unknown broke a window out of a truck on their lot and removed a radio. CULTIVATION OF MARIJUANA: A resident in the 800 block of Delaware St reported a marijuana plant growing in the apartment complex at 812 Delaware St. Deputies located a marijuana plant growing in a container between the apartment buildings. TRAFFIC CRASH: Jefferey Glass of Beavercreek, Ohio was stopped at a stop sign on Knight Rd at the intersection of Post Rd. Michael White of New Holland, Ohio approached the intersection and failed to observe the vehicle stopped. White struck Glass s vehicle in the rear. No injuries were reported. Both Vehicles sustained minor damage. CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Jeffery Kinzer of Bloomingburg, Ohio reported that person(s) unknown cut the tires on his vehicle. ILLEGAL CONVEYANCE: Contraband was located inside the Fayette County Jail. Investigation is continuing. CRIMINAL TRESPASS: Eric Lewis of Bloomingburg, Ohio reported two unknown person(s) were trespassing on his land to fish. The subject(s) fled the area prior to officers arrival. BURGLARY/ THEFT: Scott A. Smallwood of Bloomingburg, Ohio reported sometime during the afternoon to evening hours persons unknown entered his residence and removed several items.

14 TELEPHONE HARASSMENT Laura Curry, Leesburg reported she has been receiving unwanted text messages and social media posts from a known subject. Curry was directed to inform the known subject to cease all communications and that charges could be filed if the situation continued. GAMBLING/ THEFT: John Arch of Oakdale, Pa reports while at the Travel Centers of America truck stop person(s) unknown approached him asking him to join in at a game of chance. Arch advised when he had cash currency in his hand person(s) unknown grabbed the cash currency and departed. OBSTRUCTING OFFICIAL BUSINESS: While deputies were in the 400 block of Peddicord Ave assisting Probation on an offender check, a female gave deputies false information on her identity. Amber Stuckey of Washington C.H., Ohio was arrested in the incident. HIT SKIP TRAFIC CRASH: Pablo Valaquez of Washington C.H., Ohio left his 2000 Volkswagon parked on the lot of 1400 Grace St and a vehicle struck the passenger side of Valaquez vehicle and departed. Minor damage was reported FATAL TRAFFIC CRASH: At approximately 4:06 pm a one vehicle traffic crash occurred in the 4000 block of US Route 62 North. The initial investigation indicates that the Rodney L. Perry, age 43, of Laurelville, Ohio was south bound on US 62 and failed to negotiate a left hand curve, traveling off the roadway to the right. Mr. Perry overcorrected and traveled off the left side of the roadway, into the ditch line where the vehicle rolled over several times, coming to rest on its top, approximately 40 yards into a corn field. Mr. Perry was the only occupant of the vehicle and was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced deceased at the scene by Dr. D. Mesker, Fayette Co. Coroner. The cause of the crash remains under investigation, however, speed appears to be a factor. The roadway was closed for approximately 2 ½ hrs. while the crash scene was investigated. Responding to the accident were members of the Sheriff s Emergency Response Team, Sheriff s Crash Reconstruction Team, Fayette Co. Emergency Medical Services, Washington CH Fire Department and Fayette Co. Coroner. CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Randy Everhart of Washington C.H., Ohio reported he loaned his vehicle to a friend and later located the vehicle parked on Peddicord Ave with damage to the door from where person(s) unknown had kicked the vehicle. PRIVATE PROPERTY CRASH: Calrice Haney of Washington CH, Ohio reported she was turning left into a parking space on the lot of the Tanger Outlet Mall when she struck a parked motor vehicle. VEHICLE DAMAGE: Sarah Caccia of Paris, Ohio reported that while her vehicle was parked at the Fairgrounds on the weekend of May 25 th, 2014 unknown person(s) dropped a vehicle off of a skid loader causing damage to her vehicle.

15 JUVENILE OFFENSE: Deputies responded to a report of a 14 year old female who did not return home at her assigned time. Upon deputies arrival the 14 year old returned to the residence. ASSAULT: John Queen of Bloomingburg, Ohio reported that a known subject person had assaulted him. Joey Jenkins of Bloomingburg, Ohio was arrested in the incident. ASSAULT: Zacharian Saxour reported that while he was outside the Demented Bar on Rose Ave he was assaulted by an unknown person. DRUG PARAPHERNALIA: Deputies made a traffic stop on Temple St.. While on the traffic stop a pipe was located on Caleb Hogsett. Hogsett was charged in the incident. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Deputies were dispatched to Jamison Rd. on a domestic dispute. Deputies determined that no assault or threats of violence occurred. THEFT: Eugene Wilt of Washington C.H., Ohio reported that person(s) unknown had stolen personal property belonging to him TRAFFIC CRASH: Sheriff Vernon P. Stanforth reports that his office responded to an auto accident with injuries at 2:18 pm on US Route 22 W, in front of Doug Marine s Chrysler Dodge Jeep dealership. Upon investigation, it was determined that Dustin J. Watson, age 23, of Sabina, Ohio was east bound on US 22 when his 1999 Chrysler Sebring crossed the west bound lanes of the roadway, traveled off the roadway and struck three vehicles that were parked on the car dealership lot. Additionally, debris from the crash struck and damaged three other vehicles on the lot. Mr. Watson sustained obvious serious injuries and was entrapped in the vehicle and had to be extracted by mechanical means. Once Mr. Watson was removed from the vehicle he was transported to the Fayette Memorial Hospital and subsequently flown by Medflight by the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center for treatment. The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Responding to the accident were members of the Sheriff s Emergency Rescue Team, Fayette Co. Emergency Medical Services, and the Washington CH Fire Department. TRAFFIC CRASH: Brianna Conerty of Springboro, Oh was traveling south on Interstate 71. Conerty slowed/stopped in the roadway due to an injured deer crossing the roadway. Christopher Meyers of Pittsburgh, Pa also traveling south on interstate 71 failed to observe Conerty s vehicle slowed/stopped in the roadway striking the rear of Conerty s vehicle. Both Conerty and Meyers were transported to a medical facility for treatment of injuries. Both vehicle sustained moderate damage in the crash and was towed from the scene. CIVIL: Vickie Hastings of Washington CH, Oh reports after recently selling a residence to known subject was at the residence before the date advised in the closing. Known subject departed the residence without incident.

16 NEIGHBOR DISPUTE: Heather Runnels of Washington C.H., Ohio reported that her 10 year old son was threatened by a neighbor. It was determined that no threats were made and that the 10 year old will not stay out of the neighbors yard. CRASH: Toni Bushong of Washington C.H., Ohio was traveling west bound on U.S. 22 in the 4000 block when a deer entered into the roadway. Bushong struck the deer in the roadway. No injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained minor damage TRAFFIC CRASH: Robert Collier, Hillsboro, Oh reported he was south bound on SR41 north of Wilson-Silcott Rd, when a deer entered his lane of travel. The deer was subsequently struck, but was able to depart the scene. Mr. Collier s vehicle sustained functional damage to the right front corner, but was able to be driven away. BURGLARY / THEFT: Sarah Sizemore, Washington CH reported that person(s) unknown entered her apartment and removed property without permission. The Deputy was unable to locate any signs of forced entry into the residence RECOVERED STOLEN VEHICLE: Deputies observed a suspicious vehicle parked at the Lewis St. Little League Baseball Diamonds, upon checking the vehicle was found to be unoccupied, unsecured and with the key in the ignition. The owner who resides in Madison Co. was later contacted by Madison Co. Sheriff s Office and it was found that the vehicle had been stolen overnight. The owner subsequently made pick up of the vehicle. Investigation continuing. RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY: Amanda Brewer-Skeens, Bloomingburg reported while packing a known subject s property, she found a loaded shotgun. She requested a deputy to assist in unloading the weapon. After unloading the weapon, a check was run on the gun and it was learned the weapon had been reported stolen through Union County in The weapon was taken into custody for subsequent return to Union County authorities. TRAFFIC CRASH: Timothy Hodson of Washington CH, Oh was traveling east on Bloomingburg New Holland Rd and lost control of his vehicle. Hodson traveled off the right side of the roadway striking several rocks near a culvert. No injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained moderate damage in the crash and was towed from the scene. Hodson was cited for Failure to Control. FAILURE TO CONFINE DOG: Sheriff s deputies responded to Jamison Rd on reports of a dog running at large. Deputies located the dog and returned it to the owner.

17 THEFT: Phillip Blackburn of Washington CH, Oh reports after misplacing his wallet person(s) unknown used his debit card without consent making several purchases. Incident is under investigation THEFT: Employees of LEVI Outlet in Jeffersonville, Ohio reported that a male and female removed anti-theft devices & concealed clothing. The male and female exited the store without paying for the items. The female was identified as Milisa Van Steenis of Washington C.H., Ohio and the male was identified as Randy Nichols Jr. of Washington C.H., Ohio. The stolen items were located and returned to the store. Nichols and Van Steenis was arrested in the incident. ILLEGAL CONVEYANCE: Randy Nichols Jr. of Washington C.H., Ohio was brought to the Fayette County Jail on a theft charge and changing into jail clothing when white pills fell out of his pants leg. Nichols concealed prescription medication on his person prior to entering the jail and was additionally charged. NEIGHBOR DISPUTE: Deputies investigated a dispute between two males over a trash can on the property. Both parties came to an agreement in the matter upon the deputy departing. CRIMINAL DAMAGING: John Strahm, of Springboro, Oh reported while he was at a business on Old US 35, two tires on his vehicle were damaged and appeared to have been cut. ASSAULT: Zakarie Hatfield, of Bloomingburg reported he had been assaulted by Jonathan Hance, of Cincinnati, while at a residence in Bloomingburg. Injuries were observed to Mr. Hatfield and he was subsequently transported to the Fayette Memorial Hospital ER for treatment of his injuries. Hance was arrested for assault and transported to the Fayette County Jail. BURGLARY / THEFT / CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Michael McQuade, of Washington CH, reported that person(s) unknown forcibly entered his residence and shed, removing property. DOMESTIC DISPUTE / DISORDERY CONDUCT BY INTOXICATION: Tina Joseph, of Washington CH reported her son, Joey Morris, also of Washington CH, was intoxicated and was arguing with her. Upon initial contact Deputies determined that no threats or physical incident had occurred and Mr. Morris had agreed to go to bed for the evening. Moments after departing the residence Ms. Joseph again called and reported the incident was continuing. Mr. Morris was arrested for Disorderly Conduct by Intoxication and transported to the Fayette Co. Jail TRAFFIC CRASH: Steven Guess of New Holland, Oh was traveling west on Robinson Rd. Thomas Potts of Waverly, Oh was traveling east on Robinson Rd. Guess attempted to make a left turn onto S.R 753 the same time Thomas was making a right turn onto S.R 753 causing a collision with Thomas s vehicle. No injuries were reported. Guess was cited for Failure to Yield. POSSESSING DRUG ABUSE INSTRUMENTS: A purse was located on the side of the roadway near New Holland, Oh. Inside the purse two hypodermic needles were located. Sheriff s

18 deputies made contact with the owner, Barbara Williams. Williams, age 54 was arrested in the incident. POSSESSING DRUG ABUSE INSTRUMENTS: Washington Municipal Court Probation officers located a known female who was on probation. When conducting a search of the known females vehicle hypodermic needles were located inside. Kimberly Williams, age 30 was arrested in the incident. THEFT/ DRUG POSSESSION: Sheriff s deputies responded to Tanger Outlets on reports of theft. Sheriff s deputies located the subject involved, later identified as Scott Doyle, age 38 of Greenfield, Ohio. Doyle was found to be in possession of marijuana and was charged in the incident. SEXUAL BATTERY: Sheriff s deputies responded to the Ranch Of Opportunity, Washington CH, on an alleged sexual battery incident. The incident is under investigation. THEFT: Dawn Hunt, Washington CH, reported her daughter had left a cell phone in an unsecured locker at the Roller Haven. Upon returning to the locker to retrieve the phone she found it had been taken by unknown person(s). NEIGHBOR DISPUTE: Christina Allen, of Jeffersonville reported she was involved in a verbal dispute with a female at the neighbor s residence over loud music. Upon a making contact with the other party, it was determined that no threats or physical incident had occurred and both parties were instructed not to have further contact the remainder of the evening MENACING: A report was made by a female concerning a conversation her son had with a known male who allegedly made threats to shoot the female. Both subjects refused to cooperate in the incident. TRAFFIC CRASH: David Slater of Sidney, Ohio was traveling eastbound on U.S. 35 near Milepost 9 entering an inactive work zone. Slater struck debris in the roadway and lost control of his 2007 Nissan striking a guardrail on the left side of the roadway. The vehicle sustained moderate damage. No injuries were reported. MISSING PERSON: A missing persons report was made when a 40 year old female failed to return home after leaving on June 7 th to go to Tarlton,Ohio. The female later returned to the residence. DOMESTIC DISPUTE/ OBSTRUCTING OFFICIAL BUSINESS: Sheriff s deputies responded to Snow Hill Rd on a reported domestic incident. Upon arrival sheriff s deputies were advised that no threats or assault had occurred. During the investigation, Jerry Bruce of Washington C.H. obstructed officers in the duties. Bruce was arrested in the incident.

19 CONTRIBUTING TO THE UNRULINESS/DELINQUENCY OF A MINOR: Deputies responded to a residence in Bloomingburg where it was alleged that an adult male gave marijuana to a male juvenile. TRAFFIC CRASH: Joyce Amyx of Greenfield, Oh was traveling on the on ramp from S.R 41 to US 35 West. Amyx failed to observe a vehicle traveling on US 35 operated by Matt Clouse of Springboro, Oh while merging onto US 35. Amyx vehicle struck the vehicle operated by Clouse. No injuries were reported. Amyx vehicle was towed from the scene. Amyx was cited for Marked Lanes. GRAND THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE: Keith Lippert of Jeffersonville, Oh reported person(s) unknown removed a vehicle from his property. Sheriff s deputy later located the vehicle on High Street in the Village of Jeffersonville. Investigation is continuing MENACING: Andre Johns, of Jeffersonville, reported that Bertrand Chavis, also of Jeffersonville made verbal threats of physical harm towards him. Upon contacting Mr. Chavis, he also reported that Mr. Johns had made threats towards him. Both parties were instructed to stay away from the other and were referred to the Village Solicitor if they wished to pursue charges. TRAFFIC CRASH: Anthony Duncan of Washington CH, Oh was traveling east on Rowe Ging Rd attempting to make a left run into a private drive when Scott Wright of South Salem, Oh also traveling east behind Duncan struck the rear of Duncan s vehicle. Wright was transported by Fayette County EMS to a medical facility for treatment of injuries. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage in the crash. Wright was cited for Assured Clear Distance Ahead. Duncan was cited for driving without a license. CRIMINAL TRESPASS: Zakarie Hatfield of Bloomingburg, Oh reported person(s) unknown entered onto his property without consent. NEIGHBOR DISPUTE: David Jarvis of Washington CH, Oh reported his neighbor had been playing music loudly. Contact was made with the neighbor who was advised of the complaint. UNRULY JUVENILE: Deputies responded to a residence in Bloomingburg, Ohio on a report of her 14 year old son verbally abusing and attempted to leave the residence without permission. The male was located and counseled on his actions ASSIST OTHER AGENCY: Deputies were directed by the Common Pleas Court to facilitate the court appointed investigator in her inspection of a residence in the city of Washington CH to check and document the living conditions of a dependent adult, who is a ward of the court. Access was gained to the residence and the inspection was completed, without incident. DISORDERLY CONDUCT/ CRIMINAL TRESPASS: Dorothy Depew of Washington CH, Oh reported known subjects were driving near her residence and yelling, throwing trash in her yard,

20 and on one occasion pulled their vehicle into her driveway. Prosecution was declined in the incident. ASSAULT: Sheriff s deputies responded to a report of an assault on Biddle Blvd, in Bloomingburg, Oh. Upon investigating two juvenile had assaulted each other. Contact was made with both parents of the juveniles who refused any criminal charges in the matter. VEHICLE DAMAGE: Kyle Sperry of Erie, PA reported while at the north bound rest area of Interstate 71 his vehicle was damaged due to a door of another vehicle striking his vehicle TRAFFIC CRASH: Andrew Beatty of Greenfield, Oh was traveling south on S.R 753 when an object came from the bed of Beatty s truck striking a vehicle traveling north on S.R 753 operated by Maxine Vandyke of Greenfield, Oh. No injuries were reported. Beatty was cited for Unsecure Load. POSSESSION OF DRUG ABUSE INSTRUMENTS: While serving an arrest warrant at 237 Oak Street, deputies located drug abuse instruments inside the residence. Kourney Rowland, age 23 and Shawn Yoakum, age 23 both of Washington C.H. were charged in the incident. BREAKING & ENTERING/ THEFT: James Massie reported person(s) unknown entered onto his property and removed items without consent. THEFT: An employee of John Deere Equipment reported person(s) unknown removed a riding lawn mower from the business. BURGLARY/THEFT: Angela Wilson of Bloomingburg, oh reported person(s) unknown forced entry into her residence and removed items from inside. CRIMINAL DAMAGING/ CRIMINAL TRESPASS: Jay Debold of Washington CH, Oh reported person(s) unknown entered onto his property and caused damage to a vehicle. CIVIL INCIDENT: Bryan Barton, of Washington CH, reported that his landlord accepted a partial rent payment, but then attempted to evict him from the residence. Upon speaking with the landlord, Jack Alkire, he admitted to accepting a payment towards a balance of over $ in back rent, but is still pursuing eviction of Mr. Barton through the courts. Both were referred to the courts or their attorneys ASSAULT: Sheriff s deputies responded to Fayette County Hospital for a reported assault. Contact was made with the female involved. The female refused to cooperate with the investigation advising no assault had occurred. CASUALTY: Lori Thomas of Sabina, Oh reported while stationary in her vehicle, the vehicle began to roll. Thomas attempted to exit the vehicle and fell to the ground causing injury.
