Academic offer Our University offers two study programs for international students, both of them being accredited by the national competent body - ARACIS: The Romanian Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education. As Romania is part of the European Union, all the diplomas issued by our University are recognized all over the world. Both Medicine and Dental Medicine are programs with day courses and have a duration of 6 years and 360 European transferable credits.

Best clinical environment in Romania Our University takes advantage of the close collaboration with the largest general hospital in Romania The County Clinical Emergency Hospital Tirgu Mures, a hospital with beds located at 100 m from the main university building and including almost all the medical specialties. Being structured in three departments: Medical Skills, Medical Simulation and Standardized Patient, the center represents an extremely useful tool for students who wish to learn practical skills and exercise medical maneuvers. E-UMF platform The E-UMFplatform is a complex digital web-based tool that provides numerous facilities for students, including an online admission application system, online library, online access to the University Management System, online access to scientific journals and articles and online handling of administrative forms. E-UMF is completed with a complex E-learning platform, which gives students a very user-friendly learning system with access to books, printable lecture notes and visual presentations.

8 Highly attractive student campus The comfort of students, a priority The University has four student dormitories with an accommodation capacity of 1176 places. Each room is equipped with high speed internet and cable TV. The kitchens are equipped with microwave ovens, cookers, and a good ventilation system. The dormitories also have a laundry room on each floor equipped with free washing machines. Restaurant and canteen In the university campus the main meals of the day can be served at the micro-canteen, which has a capacity of 80 seats and is located in the immediate vicinity of the main building. The restaurant of the university is situated two minutes away from the student campus and has a capacity of more than 200 seats. This consists of two sport halls that house three indoor tennis courts, two volleyball courts and a basketball court, equipped with spectator stands, thus giving you the choice either to play a set or just relax by being a spectator. 10 Top research environment The Center for Advanced Medical and Pharmaceutical Research, projected on a total surface of square meters on 5 levels, from a budget of million EUR, represents an example of a high quality research infrastructure on international level, serving as a reference center for both basic and clinical medical research in this country (includes a DNA and plasma bank, immunology, chromatography and mass spectrometry, laser flow cytometry, confocal microscopy, molecular biology, genetics, advanced cardiac imaging, metabolomics and others).

11 Mobility Our University has signed the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education and offers a substantial number of mobility scholarships for students every year, according to bilateral partnerships established with universities from all Europe (Austria, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Turkey, Hungary, Belgium, etc). 12 Student`s congresses Every year, the Student`s League organizes in Tirgu Mures the Marisiensis International Congress for Students, Young Physicians and Pharmacists, where students from all Europe are invited to present their scientific results during a 5 day scientific marathon. The Medifun Student Festival represents a well-known occasion for joy and celebration in the student community.
