4 ER Model The data model of the OMNITRACKER PMC provides three levels that are important to the structuring of a project, each with specific functions: Project Level Definition of scope Commissioning and approval Project Phase Level Operative project management Structuring of the project Budget planning and monitoring Activity Level Resource planning Definition of work packets and their budgets Monitoring of completion - 4 -

5 Project Structure and Project Organisation Planning New projects might be created either manually or by using the Project Wizard, allowing to create a whole new project structure out of a pre-defined project template automatically

7 Resource Planning Assigning activities to employees, the resulting utilisation per resource is calculated automatically. 11 Progress Monitoring Progress Monitoring at Activity Layer Colour scheme to identify the expected total effort to complete an activity The person responsible for an activity estimates the percentage of completion of the activity. There is an automatic calculation performed to forecast the estimated effort needed to complete an activity. Comparison of efforts to complete: green: Estimated <= Planned red: Estimated > Planned
