1 SHORTLIST of OPTIONS (STATING AND ) All options assume the model of service is for centralised acute inpatient facilities with enhanced, dispersed community based. All except option 1 for all units assumes a move to 85% occupancy. The predicted bed numbers are dependent on the core elements of service development. The options (except option 1) assume the core elements of service development are implemented i.e.: Intensive community support to prevent some admissions and aiding earlier discharge. Changes to the rehabilitation model to enable patients to move through the spectrum of in a timely manner. Development of required numbers of supported accommodation to prevent delays in discharge. Increase in therapeutic interventions available. Series 1: Do Nothing Option 1 Acute inpatient provision continues from the current wards on the Crichton Royal Hospital (CRH) site. Inpatient rehabilitation continues from Wellgreen and Lahraig. Intensive Care facility not developed.
