25 ICTS Initiatives: Shared Services Objective: Government Departments and Offices (GDOs) (all IT services are being transformed to a shared services model); Nova Scotia Health Authority (NSHA) and IWK (all IT services, excluding clinical application support services, are being transformed to a shared services model); School Boards (all IT services are being transformed to a shared services model); Crown Corporations (NS Tourism Agency, Innovacorp, Nova Scotia Business Inc., Trade Centre Limited, Waterfront Development Corporation Limited, Halifax Convention Centre Corporation) (all IT services are being transformed to a shared services model). Resource being sought: Resources RFP Business Analysts, coordinator Procurement process: Request for Proposals (RFP) to be launched RFP to be launched Q (calendar year)
26 ICTS Initiatives: Signet (Identity and Access Management) Purpose The Signet project is focused on creating the foundation for access management for internal government, and external citizenry as we move toward egovernment and online services. The initiative is foundational to Nova Scotia Online initiatives, which is aimed toward increasing convenience by reducing the need for in-person transactions. Phase one is complete Strategy / planning / governance Phase two completed elements: tool selection / implementation partner selection Phase two implementation is underway Resources being sought Request for Expression of Interest for Credential Brokering Services to allow use of existing identifiers (i.e. Bank Cards) Procurement process REI to be launched Q4, 2015 (calendar)
27 ICTS Initiatives: Open Data Purpose The Province is supportive of open and transparent government and has launched an open data initiative to make non-sensitive datasets available to the public through a centralized, searchable portal. Open data creates significant opportunities for citizens, businesses, and academics to create value from government datasets in a way that can enhance government transparency and stimulate economic growth. Efforts are underway currently to establish and present open data sets. Resources being sought No specific resources are required at this time Procurement process No procurement processes are identified at this time
28 ICTS Initiatives: IT Service Management Purpose: ITSM will provide clarity to clients on what services we provide, how we deliver them (who, what, when, where and how), and will implement solid processes to streamline our work. The project scope has been revised to include shared services partners. Relationships have been established with an implementation partner Resources being sought: No specific additional needs have been identified at this time Procurement Process No procurement needs are required at this time
29 ICTS Initiatives: IT Service Continuity Purpose ITSC is a subset of business continuity planning (BCP) and includes IT disaster recovery planning (DRP) and execution. As part of the CIO s continuous improvements in its DR planning and its implementation, the ITSC program was established to unify the DR planning and core technology functions (e.g. second data centre), and align the foundational technology services and investments with the business priorities of the provincial government. In order to achieve the purpose, the ITSC program will support the overall Business Continuity Management process by ensuring that the required IT technical and services facilities including computer systems, networks, applications, telecommunications, and technical support can be recovered within required, and agreed, business timescales Resources being sought Contingent labor for IT Service Continuity with a focus on BA, PIA, TRA skills IaaS to support IT Service Continuity Procurement Process RFP for contingent labor for IT Service Continuity with a focus on BA, PIA, TRA skills - October 2015 Two stage RFP for infrastructure as a service: - Short list of vendors meeting criteria; stage 2 bake-off focused on use cases
30 Environment: Legislation Enforcement & Compliance Purpose Create a secure and organized method of tracking inspection and enforcement activity for existing and anticipated public health legislation using the Province s AMANDA standard. Procurement process Early stages of effort requirements are yet to be determined
31 Community Services: Business Transformation & IT Enablement Purpose Community Services client is undergoing a Business Transformation focused on IT Enablement opportunities Focused on current supporting technologies ICM/LaMPSS; however interested in learning other supporting technologies in support of Social Service Delivery. Procurement process Early stages of effort requirements are yet to be determined
32 Municipal Affairs: Municipal Data Management Platform Purpose Municipalities are required by regulations and provincial funding agreements to submit detailed financial and non-financial information to DMA.
