1 Courtesy Clerk Job Description As an associate of Kroger, the basic objective of your position is to satisfy our customers by providing exceptional customer service in a safe and clean environment to ensure the customer s return visit. We accomplish this in many ways including, but not limited to: treating our customers/employees in a fair and ethical manner, promoting an inclusive work environment, being a responsible member of the community, and providing the right products at the right time with fair and accurate pricing. Embrace Customer 1 st Philosophy People: Our people are great Shopping Experience: Makes you want to return Product: You get what you want, plus a little Prices: Our prices are good Essential Functions Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Conduct yourself in a professional manner, displaying a positive attitude, speaking highly of the company in the presence of customers and other employees Follow established Personal Appearance policies and guidelines Follow all company policies and procedures Bag Groceries quickly while assuring that the paper or plastic bag is not overloaded and that the contents will not be damaged Assist the Cashier in removing merchandise from the bottom of the cart and placing it on the checkout counter or in the top of the cart Carry bags to the customer's car Bring carts in from the parking lot 1 UPDATED 2/4/2014
