Other accomplishments: In collaboration with Honors Director and Honors faculty, developed Honors Global Leadership course. Organized and led the first National Partners in the Parks experience hosted by a community college in the Everglades. Organized and led twenty-two students and two faculty for the first HCC Honors service learning experience in a developing country to build stoves (estufas) for indigenous Guatemalans. Chaired the 2014 Florida Collegiate Honors Council Conference. 2 president, recommended the creation of the position of Senior Staff, and instrumental in the Rising Scholars Program which recognizes incoming students with academic and intellectual potential which more than doubled Convocation attendance. Aug June 2010 Administrative Assistant, University Advancement University of Maine at Augusta Grew a floundering Alumni Association from a ten member organization to more than 300 registered members in one year. Developed (in collaboration with UMA faculty) and coordinated an interdisciplinary credit bearing summer program offered to high school students (YoUMA). Assisted in the first annual giving campaign. Organized and led a second Partners in the Parks program in Acadia. Led two more international service-learning experiences in Guatemala totaling more thirty students, alumni and faculty. Led and organized a National Issues Forum with guest, Søren Hermansen, Time Magazine s 2010 Environmental Hero of the Year. Elected by faculty to lead as Chair, Scenario to Strategy (S2S) Strategic Planning Committee, The Modernists. Assisted in coordinating faculty and course offerings for Honors classes. Recommended website maintenance and updated marketing materials. Coordinated bi-annual Honors newsletter. Spearheaded the first east coast (the second in the nation) Partners in the Parks experience in Acadia attracting Honors students and faculty from around the U.S. to attend a one week multidisciplinary national parks experience. Recruited and coordinated faculty from two University of Maine System campuses and multiple national park staff to give presentations for the parks experience. Organized and led the first international service learning survey experience for Honors students and faculty in Guatemala.
