Additional accomplishments - responsible for the following major projects: - Upgrading the SDSU library network system: responsible for all aspects of upgrading the library network system from cat5 to fibre optic connections on several library floors, including software configuration of switches, network zoning (library network, general student access network, and administrative network), physical installation of switches, physical installation of fibre optic cables and fibre boxes, connectivity testing, and setting up firewalls and access control mechanisms. - Installing network system in eight new student residences: responsible for all aspects of installing cat5 network systems, including software configuration of switches, network zoning, physical installation of switches and cat5 cables and connections, organizing network closets, connectivity testing, and setting up firewalls and access control.
