8 Effects of Kaffé Fair So far 43 have been employed 25 have left the project in favour of following: 8 have begun real job or education (32%) 7 are in treatment of adiction (28%) 5 have joined other projects (20%) 5 as been taken out because of absence (20%)

14 The aim is that the individual Can manage an everyday life Find motivation inside themselves Learn to see personal barriers Can see and create personal competence Create social network Getting a plan for the future Starting on with job or education

15 Citizenship and self confidence (selvværd) comes from real appreciation (anerkendelse), given by real people in the real world. And not from social workers or teachers, who are paid to do so. But we need social workers and teachers to generate openness towards appreciation, to listen and to help eliminate barriers.

16 Conclusions in the evaluation report Det kan konkluderende siges, at det med projektet lykkedes at udvikle et værktøj (arbejdet på cafeen); en pædagogisk metode (deltagelse i arbejdsfælleskabet på cafeen); en optimalt tilpasset undervisningsmetode (mesterlære i et lærende nærmiljø frem for klasseværelset) og en udviklingsmodel for de unges personlighed, som har vist sig at kunne motivere disse til selv at arbejde sig væk fra misbruget og ind på arbejdsmarkedet eller som det her er prioriteteret ind i et fortsat uddannelsesforløb. Kaffé Fair må på alle punkter karakteriseres som en vaskeægte succes. Klaus Ebbesen, E-Universitetet The conclusion is, that the project has succeded in developing a tool (working in the café); a theory of education (taking part in the working community); an optimum adjusted method of teaching (hands on learning in a close learning invironment rather than a classroom) and a model of development for the young participants personality, which has proved to motivate them away from abuse and towards the job market or as the priority is in the project, towards education.
