10 Step 3 Reading Save the rats of New York! By Ratbert Rawlings I have now been on holiday in the greatest city in the world. It has been a wonderful experience in many ways. The rats in this town are friendly, and they have great entertainment. I have listened to Radio Rat Pack and I have read the Ratpack News. It is so easy to know where to go for a good snack and where to hide from cats and humans when you get tips from the friendly local rats at Rat Pack Media. New York City is dangerous, too dangerous in many ways. You cannot cross the street without the risk of getting trampled on by humans and dogs. They are everywhere! And the dogs are scary enough with their big teeth and dripping tongues. Therefore, we need our good friends at the radio station to help us. They tell us which roads are safe and which are dangerous to us rats. So why am I telling you this? Well, unless we can raise some money, Radio Rat Pack will have to give up. They need 70 dollars to keep working for the next year. That is a huge sum for a rat, but we can t give up! Get out there, collect pennies and quarters, and donate to this good cause! I worry that there will be lots of rats getting hurt and killed if we cannot keep our radio station. Who else can we rely on to tell us all we need to know? The rats of New York need your help. Please donate now! Write T for true or F for false. Sett T for true eller F for false. Rat Pack Radio is in New York. T/F Ratbert doesn t like New York. Ratbert thinks that rats in New York are nice. Dogs and cats can be dangerous to rats. Radio Rat Pack needs a million dollars. Ratbert wants other rats to give money to the radio station. 10
