Our interns work closely with staff members to gain valuable experience in their chosen field while contributing their talent and energy to the 17 HERTZ mission. GENERAL INFORMATION 17 HERTZ Internships are offered year-round at our 17 HERTZ STUDIO facility in rth Hollywood, California. Some internship positions offer a stipend of $10.00 per hour. In addition to the stipend, interns may receive academic credit if an agreement is made between the 17 HERTZ Human Resources Division and the intern's college or university. All interns are subject to the applicable 17 HERTZ employee rules, including our Employment Dispute Resolution Policy. Interns must dedicate a minimum of 15 hours per week and a maximum of 25 hours per week throughout the entire program. ELIGIBILITY A candidate must be a graduate student, an undergraduate student, or have graduated from college within twelve months of beginning the internship. Internship applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. The applicant must be able to lift 40lbs without any trouble. APPLICATION PROCEDURES Candidates must complete the attached Internship Application Form and submit it along with a cover letter and resume. Some internship positions require additional application items, such as a writing sample. All application items must be submitted as a complete package. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed. You are welcome to apply for multiple internships. However, please submit only one application listing your internship choices in order of preference. HR staff will screen applications citing multiple internships and direct the application to the opportunity best aligned with your background and interests.

2 INTERNSHIP POSITIONS Audio Engineering Internship Shadows a Recording Engineer and Assistant Engineer to learn the operation of the recording. Has the opportunity to engage in hands-on practice with technical equipment. Does simple signal routing, recordings and session prepping. Candidates with technical experience and/or background preferred. Corporate Business Development 17 HERTZ Business Development explores potential new revenue streams, analyzes potential investments, and internal business development opportunities to (1) strengthen 17 HERTZ existing businesses (2) maintain an interest in the developing new media and telecom and (3) strengthen and extend the educational mission of 17 Hertz. The position offers unique exposure to both the traditional media industry as well as the developing entertainment and new media environment. Responsibilities include assisting in analyzing new media markets, evaluating business plans and opportunities, developing project plans, financial modeling and performing due diligence activities. The position works closely with each of 17 HERTZ divisions to identify and facilitate new business development. The ideal candidate will be a current MBA student, possess an interest in and aptitude for 17 HERTZ core business and new media businesses, the ability to work independently and represent 17 HERTZ with potential partners, the ability to perform strategic analysis of new media opportunities, experience and interest in technology, strong financial analysis skills, and strong written and oral communication skills. Digital Media & Entertainment Editorial Internship Edits and produces content for 17 HERTZ website, blogs and all other social media sites owned or controlled by 17 HERTZ. Assists with writing and editing news articles. Assists in building and updating web pages using tools such as Photoshop, Wordpress and Dreamweaver. Required: demonstrated record of creative accomplishment; demonstrated passion for books, movies and the arts; demonstrated excellence in writing and editing; creativity and ability to be flexible; ability to work quickly, accurately and under deadlines. Creative Media Internship Participates in the creative and production processes required for daily updates to 17Hertz.com and it s various platforms, including designing marketing materials and producing visual media as necessary. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about great design, photography, music and how they translate to the digital realm to create great user experiences. Strong organizational and communication skills are necessary. Must be able to work under tight deadlines. Experience in using both Mac and PC platforms is preferred. Must be proficient with Adobe s Creative Suite. Must present an online portfolio showing exceptional creative talent through basic knowledge of good typography, color theory, photography and graphic design principles and processes.
