7 Compliance to the Environmental Clearance Conditions Sl, No Specific Conditions Compliance to the conditions 1 The gaseous emissions (S0x, NOx,.& HCL) particulate The gaseous emissions (S0x, NOx,.& matter from various process units shall conform to the HCL) particulate matter from various standards prescribed by the concerned authorities from time to time. All venting equipment shaii have vapour recovery system. 5 Industry shall switch over to aqueous based coating film in place of use of Methylene-Chioride in coating operation, in a phased manner. 6 Industry shall switch over to Use of non halogenated solvents in place of a halogenated solvents in a phased manner 7 The company shall undertake fallowing Waste Minimization measures a. Meeting and control of quantities of active ingredients to minimize waste b. Reuse of by-products from the process as raw materials or as raw material substitutes in other processes c. Use of automated filling to minimize spillage d. Use of close feed system into batch reactors e. Venting equipment through vapour recovery system f. The coal ash from the boilers(0.4mtpd) would be sold to the brick manufacturers. The waste oil (100 lit/annum) will be sent to authorized recyclers. The used battery(1no year) would be sent to authorized recyclers. 12 The company shall develop rainwater harvesting structures to harvest the run off water for recharge of ground water 13 Green belt shall be provided in 25% of the plant area to mitigate the effects of fugitive emission all around the plant. Development of green belt shall be as per the Central Pollution Control Board guidelines. The ambient noise levels shall conform to the standards prescribed under Environment (Protection) Act, Rules, 1989 viz, dba(daytime) and 70dbA(night time) 7 The project proponent shall also comply with all the environmental protection measures and safeguards recommended in the EIA/EMP report No further expansion or modifications in the plant will be carried out without prior approval of the SEIAA / Ministry of Environment and Forests as the case may be. The funds so.provided shall not be diverted for any other purpose. The company in a time bound manner will implement these conditions. 15 The above conditions will be enforced inter alia under the provisions of the (water prevention &control of pollution) Act1981,the environment( protection) act 1986,Hazardous wastes(management and Handling)Rules2003 and the public Liability Insurance Act 1991 along with their amemedments and rules be submitted to monitoring agencies. Details are provided in previous compliance report The project authorities are ready to inform the MoEF Regional Office at Bangalore / KSPCB / CPCB and the Department of Environmental & Ecology, Bangalore, the date of financial closure and final approval of the project by the concerned authorities and the date of start of the project.
