4 Facts about the Minnesota I.T. labor market 1. Demand for IT-related talent is strong and will continue to grow through 2022; total hiring is equivalent to 25% of current workforce (20,000 jobs through 2022) 2. 86% of total Minnesota IT employment is in the MSP MSA 3. As of May 22, 2015, 92% of the current 17,000 job openings in computer-related occupations specified a bachelor s degree requirement 4. Minnesota ranks 11 th in total IT employment and 6 th in concentration of employment among the 100 largest MSAs in the U.S. 5. Application development (including web-based) is number one in terms of total employment and projected need Implications?
