2 IT started with a Information Technology Talent Gap Study TBTF leads the implementation of the study recommendations SPC responded with 24 Program Dr. Law respond to challenge to create affordable education experience with $10,000 degree Exploratory Lab and Boot Camp training opportunities were recommendations in the study. Connection between Tech Data, TBTF, and SPC Background

3 Skills gap in college grads vs what businesses need Technology needs real-life, real-time application Integration into curriculum has challenges Need to expose non-tech degree students to Technology industry Students unaware of Tech businesses and career opportunities in and around region Businesses have limited connections to students at area colleges Businesses are seeking strategic thinkers that are able to optimize the technical resources The Problem

4 A program that provides a real-time business integration experience to augment traditional classroom curriculum across all degrees in an effort to close the skills gap as well as increase non-tech degree seeking student interest in the Technology industry. The Solution

5 The Exploratory Lab Boot Camp is a STEM-focused program that is FREE to participants offering real-time, real life exposure to the skills needed by businesses in the Technology industry. The Solution

6 Number of positions = 25 students Target educational institutions SPC Academic Program SPC Corporate and Workforce & Professional Development USFSP University of Tampa Ringling College Experience level Participants will be enrolled in an academic program in one of the target educational institutions and seeking Bachelors, with sufficient credits to be a junior or senior, or enrolled in a Master s degree program. Students enrolled in the SPC 24 Program that have a Bachelors or Master s degree are also eligible. Eligibility
