We encourage and nurture your career adventure My Career Educational Support Subsidy IDEXX encourages you to develop your skills and knowledge by providing approved study assistance for permanent employees, which is considered to be of mutual benefit to both you and IDEXX. Eligible employees may also be granted additional study and exam leave. IDEXX will contribute 80% to cover the cost of approved study undertaken in that period to a maximum of $3000 per calendar year or as otherwise agreed by the Regional General Manager. Employee Performance Evaluation (EPE) Employee Performance Evaluation (EPE) is our performance management process that gives you an understanding of clear expectations in your role here at IDEXX. We provide this formal framework within which objective discussions can take place to measure your performance. The EPE is linked to our five essentials of business strategy people, customer satisfaction, financial, operational efficiency & building trust. Behaviours underpin performance. IDEXX has clearly defined behaviours that employees are expected to demonstrate. The five behaviours are customer focus, communication, cultivates teamwork, considers others and champions change. Employees will be assessed based on the degree to which they exhibit these behaviours and the results they achieve. Employees who embrace, embody and develop these behaviours, will drive individual and business success. Training and Development Opportunities for further training and development is generally identified during your EPE. This provides you with an opportunity to build your skills towards your current job or future job, as well as to indicate your career interests and explore how this meets your needs and IDEXX's company objectives. To help develop and enhance your skills, you can take advantage of business-specific and professional development training resources. How does IDEXX acknowledge and reward the very best people? Employee Referral Program We know you understand IDEXX, our culture and our business needs. This is your opportunity to refer quality talent to IDEXX. We want you to activate the power of your personal network and to refer suitable quality candidates. In the event IDEXX employs a permanent candidate referred by you, and the candidate successfully completes their qualifying period, you will be entitled to receive an employee referral fee. Only permanent employees are eligible for an employee referral fee for successful candidates. Reward and Recognition Program We believe it is important to provide on-the-spot recognition for strong contributions supporting the five essentials - people, customer satisfaction, financial, operational efficiency & building trust. Our Reward and Recognition Program is about celebrating individual and group achievements, while helping managers to recognise and immediately reward significant contributions and results. We have varying levels of reward and recognition to compliment you, from a small thank you gift to a gift voucher up to the value of $100 or our Golden Paw Award of either $1000 gross or 3 days recognition leave. Service Awards To express our appreciation of your commitment, we formally recognise your dedicated service by presenting a Service Award Certificate at an appropriate function or meeting. For 5 years of service, you will receive a Service Award Certificate. For 10 and 15, you will receive a Service Recognition Plaque and for 20 and 25 years of service you will receive a Service Recognition Plaque and small gift. * This program is effective from 1st September, IDEXX likes to reward and recognise outstanding performance.
5 My Family Discounted Pet Products You can enjoy discounted pet products through our allied business partners, at a discounted price. This is only exclusive to IDEXX employees. Delivery is to IDEXX national locations and payment is made as a payroll deduction in your pay. Flexible working arrangements For some positions within the organisation IDEXX may be able to provide additional flexibility in working arrangements, if they have a mutual benefit to both the individual and the company. IDEXX is committed to assessing and working with employees on an individual basis in line with organisational requirements and company policies. Parental Leave If you have had 12 months completed continuous service you are entitled to unpaid Parental leave which is available for permanent and casual* employees to enable them to act as the primary care giver for their own or their spouse's child. This includes maternity leave, paternity leave and adoption leave. We want to help you plan your financial matters during this special time. So we have made provisions for you to be able to have the option of taking half pay of any annual leave or long service leave entitlements during this time. *Casual employees legislative conditions apply. Laboratory Pet Testing We know that your companion animals are part of your family and their well-being is important. So, we would like to offer you with a free test service for diagnostic pathology work on your pets to a maximum value of $500 per employee annually. The pet must belong to you and be a part of your household (no production animals). Only permanent employees are eligible. My Well-Being IDEXX Corporate Health Plan Your best asset is you and your families' health. We have partnered with a Corporate Health organisation to give you the opportunity to join our discounted plan. This plan will provide you with a saving compared to health insurance retail products across Australia. Employee Assistance Program (EAP) The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a free Counseling and Advice Service by an independent provider. It's available to help you manage work-related or personal life concerns and the counseling is totally confidential, aimed at enhancing your wellbeing, both professionally and personally. Flu Vaccination Our free annual Flu Vaccination is an external mobile service that comes to you onsite at IDEXX to provide you with a flu shot to keep you and your immune system fit and fighting against influenza. IDEXX recognises the importance of a work-life balance.
6 My IDEXX Experience Frequent Flyer Points Did you know that you are able to retain frequent flyer program benefits? You could be using your frequent flyer points to take your next vacation. It is as simple as quoting your membership number when registering or organising your next business flight. Membership of a frequent flyer program is at your discretion. On-site Car Parking Often car parking can be an added expense to an employee. IDEXX offers onsite parking access and off-street parking to all of its employees at no cost. Professional Memberships We know there are relevant professionals associations and bodies that you can join, so you can access the wide range of professional / vocational literature and publications, as well as the opportunity to interact with other professional in similar fields. We want to assist you with your professional development. In some circumstances, IDEXX may support the payment for all or part of your membership fee to an approved professional society or association. Salary Sacrifice Novated Car Lease You can choose novated car leasing as an option for salary packaging which may benefit you in better taxing arrangements of your remuneration.
