Group sport activities help overcome a fear of darkness and unknown danger, increase feelings of closeness, cooperativeness, solidarity. People, I dare you to take a night run, it will make you become more honest to each other! And you will feel wonderful. Birell Grand Prix Prague runners will represent the Foundation during the Birell Grand Prix Prague 2014 race. In addition to the individual runners, there will be employees from companies - as traditionally - ČSOB Private Banking (3 teams and 5 individuals) and ČSOB Asset Management (11 individuals). Firms, which remained loyal to us again this year are Ernst & Young (2runners) and CROWN WORLDWIDE (5runners). New members, who have just joined us, are CHAPMAN TAYLOR (8 runners), Global eprocure (14 runners), and AIR PRODUCTS (3 runners). We will keep our fingers crossed for all the runners during their preparations for the upcoming race! 2 Where to pick up the race number Race numbers can be picked up between the 1 st and 6 th of September at the Running Mall (Františka Křížka 11, Praha 7 Holešovice, entrance from the Milada Horáková street). Opening hours: Recapitulation of the running season 2014 Photo shooting before the race: Come and join us during the shooting of runners, done by our court photographer Zdeněk Chrapek! There will be group and individual shooting provided. When: at 17:15 (Adidas Race 5 km) and 18:45 (Birell Race 10 km). Where: at Ovocný trh, Prague 1 (behind the Stavov theater). 670 runners represented the Olga Havel Foundation during the RUN CZECH 2014 race. The participating companies included ČSOB, PointPark Properties, Doosan Infracore Construction Equipment, Concur, Gemalto, W.A.G, payment solutions, CROWN WORLDWIDE GROUP, PK Solvent, INVESCO, JCI Czech Republic, mbank, CGI IT, The Skiiers Association Czech Republic, ACCENTURE, Eso Travel, Allen&Overy, Olympus, and Ernst&Young. In addition to the Czech runners, there were also runners from France, Poland, Finland, and Italy, who participated in the race for beneficial purposes. Sightless runner Jan Říha, together with his driver and patron of the runners of Good Will Jan Škrabálek, joined the half marathon. During the race, amount of CZK was raised and used to purchase medical aids for handicapped people. Our thanks go to all runners of Good Will!
3 Thanks to you, we were able to help these people: Thanks to your help, we provided financial contributions to purchase a whole set of necessary medical aids. We also financed rehabilitation and recondition stays for handicapped people. Thank You! A year-long rehabilitation for Oliver walking trolley for Zlatuška Hearing aid for Michal How individuals and firms help us The ČSOB employees ran km for beneficial purposes Within the ČSOB Race - project for beneficial purposes, 387 employees participated at the RUN CZECH, and the bank contributed 50 crowns for each run kilometer to the Olga Havel Foundation. Altogether, the runners ran kilometers, and raised CZK for beneficial purposes helping handicapped people.
4 Helping on a bike, in the water and by running In May, a volunteer and envoy of Good Will, Pavel Draštík, participated in his first Ironman Triathlon at Lanzarote, and finished in respectable time 11:21:37. At the same time, he helped to raise money for Oliver s rehabilitation. More information available in the interview with Pavel: March and help On the 21 st of June, Radka Tučková participated in the Krkonoše March, during which she marched away 55 km in 15 hours and 19 minutes, and helped to raise crowns for Zlatuška. 5 One could help via endurance running and also healthy nutrition Runner of Good Will and endurance runner Jan Ďuk has been joining running races for years. He decided to do something special this year with every finished kilometer, he would contribute 10 CZK to the Foundation. Jan has been supporting the foundation via his own company Žijte jezte hýbejte se zdravě (Live-Eat-Stay active for healthy living). The company provides Fitness food menu and offers conditional and nutritional advisory. Jan contributes 2% of each customer payment to the Olga Havel Foundation.
