2 Summer Stretch Grades 5-8 (completed) $145 for 7 Weeks and $80 for 4 Weeks Wednesdays from June 11 to July 30 Valley Fair on Thursday, Aug. 7 8:45am-4:00pm (See dates below) Wednesdays: June 11, June 18, June 25, July 9, July 16, July 23, July 30 Join Summer Stretch! It s an incredible experience for those entering grade 6, 7 & 8 to perform community service projects in the morning and have fun in the afternoon. Stretch yourself to meet Christ in many ways: through new friends, helping the community, all while having a lot of fun! Friends and neighbors are welcome! Here is some NEW information about the 2014 program: Listening to the needs of families, I have increased the flexibility of the program this year: You will be able to pick a four Wednesday package or seven Wednesday package. Each package includes the summer stretch t-shirt and admission to Valley Fair on August 7. $25 Bring A Friend Day. If space allows, and your friends and extended family members want to participate, contact Justin a week in advance and sign them up for the Wednesday you want them to join you. Earlier Ending Time. Due to the large number of participants that need to leave early, we will be finishing our day at 4pm instead of 5pm which is when we ended last year. Please have your child picked up from Summer Stretch no later than 4:30pm. Summer Stretch is for Youth going into to 6-8 grades. We have had little participation by 9 graders in the past 2 years. Because of this and the difficulty in engaging the different age groups, 9 graders will not be eligible. You must bring a bag lunch each day. We supply the beverage. An adult from the household will be asked to chaperone one full-day or two half-days during the summer. Probable Projects Include: Gardening for the Elderly, Bagging Groceries, Sorting Donations for the Disadvantaged, Playing Cards with Seniors, and Reading to Pre-schoolers Probable Activities Include: Water Park, Amusement Park, Beach Trip, Bowling, Roller Skating & day trip to Valley Fair Informational meetings: (Choose one) Saturday, June 7, 6:30-7:00 pm or Sunday, June 8, 11:30 am-12:00pm For more information contact Justin Dittrich at jdittrich@nativitychurch.org
