3 About this Report The content of this report is drawn from the construction records of the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR). State law requires privately funded projects defined as "commercial facilities" under the Texas Architectural Barriers Act to register with the TDLR whenever a building is constructed, renovated, or modified. This law encompasses nearly all office and industrial facilities in the state, except for some uncommon exemptions. All records are selfreported by companies and are only included in this report if they have been reported to the TDLR. The phase cost for each project is the estimated cost of construction reported by each firm and does not include the cost of site acquisition, furnishings, or other equipment that is not part of the building mechanical systems. In this report, only projects with an estimated cost of approximately $1 million or more are included. Some dollar values have been rounded. All projects were scheduled to begin construction between January and June The number of jobs retained or created by each project is not available with this data.
