Duties included conducting initial intake interviews, providing individual and family therapy, and conducting psychological assessments with children enrolled in IMPACT. Clinical interventions were based on Eyberg s Parent- Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and home-based interventions were provided whenever possible. Counseling and Psychological Services, Supervisor: John R. Freedy, Ph.D. Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) provides psychological and assessment

Duties included providing individual, marital, and group treatment to students with a variety of psychological and adjustment issues. Clinical problems included a full range of mood and anxiety disorders, eating disorders, adjustment issues, marital problems, ADHD and learning disabilities. Duties also included conducting evaluations for ADHD and learning disabilities. Veteran s Affairs Medical Center, PTSD Clinic, Supervisor: Chris Frueh, Ph.D. The PSTD Clinic at the VAMC serves United States veterans who are suffering from combat-related PTSD. Duties included screening and evaluating new patients, providing individual therapy for PTSD, and conducting educational and process groups about PTSD issues. Charleston/Dorchester Community Mental Health Center - Children Adolescents and their Families, Supervisor: Barbara Trout, Ph.D. The Children, Adolescents and their Families program provides clinically effective family-based services for serious clinical problems of children and adolescents. Duties included assessment and evaluation of treatment needs and the development and implementation of an effective treatment plan. Intensive home-based therapy was provided with multi-need families. Clinical problems included sexual victimization and juvenile sex offending, oppositional defiant disorder, ADHD, conduct disorder, and substance abuse. Therapeutic services were provided to the identified child and family members and interventions and consultations with peer groups, schools, neighborhoods and other family members were provided when appropriate. To assist in training for this rotation, I participated in a week-long training program for Multisystemic Therapy.
