Submit a course plan for each cosmetology course taught describing plans to carry out those plans responsibly. Evaluate the learning experience of each student and inform the student of the findings. Maintain teaching expertise in the field of Cosmetology and to continue updating in the subject matter.
2 Incorporate current teaching techniques of subject area developments to enhance the learning experience. Keep informed about current trends, new approaches and innovations in the Cosmetology field. Provide a classroom instruction in accordance with approved course outlines Keep a roll book and grade book for each student including grades, attendance in the classroom and lab and provide effective evaluation of the learning experience for each student. Keep follow-up information on students and report the information to the student follow-up coordinator. Inform students of course requirements, evaluation procedures, attendance requirements, and academic progress. Make recommendation for textbooks and other instructional material to Bookstore and Library. Register and advise students. Prepare and grade assignments, projects, and examinations as required Prepare short term and long term goals and objectives for the Cosmetology Department. Create a personal development plan and make progress toward achieving the goals and objectives of these plans. Demonstrate effective people skills, communication skills, and work ethic. Develop and manage the departmental budget. Attend seminars approved by the Alabama board of Cosmetology to remain informed on the latest information that is important to Cosmetology. Post and maintain regular office hours in accordance with prevailing policy Participate in assigned college committees. Submit annually a Faculty Performance Evaluation that gives accomplishments and goals Perform any other duties as assigned by the President and/or the Vice-President.
