D.C.Dhubkaiya, B.I.E.T.Jhansi, U.P., India Abstact In this pape, a compact size ectangula patch antenna is designed, analyzed and fabicated. The bandwidth enhancement of micostip patch [MSP] antenna is done by cutting ectangula slots into the dimension calculated ectangula patch. The designed micostip patch antenna is suitable fo the use of many boad band applications. The opeating fequency band of designed micostip patch antenna is GHz with 72.28% factional bandwidth.the gain has been impoved up to 4.28dBi, diectivity 4.33dBi and efficiency %. The poposed ectangula slotted MSP is suitable fo L and S-band opeations. The poposed ectangula slotted micostip patch [MSP] antenna is simulated using IE3D Zealand simulation softwae based on method of moments. The antenna is fed by 50Ω micostip line feed. Intoduction Boadband devices ae mainly pacticed in ou daily lives such as mobile phone, adio, laptop with wieless connection and MSP antennas play a impotant ole in these devices [1]. In this pape the pupose of new design antenna pesents to enhance the bandwidth of a compact ectangula slot shaped MSP antenna fo many boadband applications such as militay, wieless communication, satellite communication, global positioning system (GPS), RF devices, WLAN/WI - MAX application etc [2], [3]. The majo dawbacks of MSP antennas in basic fom ae naow bandwidth and low gain [4]. Then many techniques ae used to enhance bandwidth and gain of MSP antennas. By using thick substate with low dielectic constant and compact slotted patch can enhance the bandwidth and gain of antennas up to geate extent [5]. The MSP antenna have some good featues such as low cost, low pofile, light weight, high efficiency, easy to manufactue and implement with cicuits [2], [5], [6]. The design stuctue components of antenna become small in size and have low pocessing cost [3]. In this pape method of moments is used to analysis the ectangula MSP antenna. The design esonant fequency of ectangula MSP antenna is 2.2GHz with 50Ω micostip line feed. MSP antenna is chaacteized by using thickness (H), dialectic constant (ɛ ), and length (b,d), width (a,c) of gound plane and patch. The pefomances of design MSP antenna such as adiation patten, etun loss, diectivity, VSWR and gain ae simulated by using IE3D softwae. 2. Antenna Design Specification Calculated dimensions of gound plane is constucted by using esonant fequency (f ), dielectic constant (ɛ ), substate thickness (H) and loss tangent (tan δ) and 50Ωmicostip line feed is fed into patch. In the design of antennas fist calculate the dimensions of gound plane and patch then antenna is constucted by using dimensions afte that slots cut into the micostip patch. 3 10. j k 20.2 The calculated design of a compact ectangula slotted micostip patch antenna is shown in Figue 1. Figue 2: Retun Loss vs. Fequency Gaph In Figue 3, the plotted gaph of Gain Vs Fequency shows the total field gain of the MSP antenna and obtain maximum gain of antenna is 4.275dBi at fequency 2.95GHz. Simulation Result And Discussion In Figue 2, The simulation pefomance of design MSP antenna is analyzed by using IE3D softwae at define esonant fequency of 2.2GHz and antenna successfully obtained 1.8GHz esonant fequency at peak point of etun loss. The plotted gaph of etun loss Vs fequency is taken at the maximum fequency of 3.5GHz which is shown in Figue 2,The enhances bandwidth 1648MHz (72.28% factional bandwidth) of design antenna is obtained at calculated esonant fequency of 1.78GHz. The obtain VSWR is at esonant fequency of 1.78GHz. The obtain diectivity of antenna is 4.327dBi at fequency 2.95GHz. 5 In Figue 8, the plotted gaph of Axial-Ratio Vs Fequency epesents the atio of the majo axis to the mino axis of the polaization ellipse and the esulting patten shows an oscillating patten [15]. Figue 8: Axial-Ratio vs. Fequency Plot 6. CONCLUSION In this pape a compact ectangula slotted ectangula micostip patch [MSP] antenna with 50Ω micostip line feed has been designed. The enhance bandwidth of design antenna is 1648MHz (72.28% factional bandwidth), opeating fequency ange GHz and gain (4.275dBi), efficiency (99.54%), etun loss (-23.37dBi) and VSWR (1.146) is obtained. The simulated esult of design antenna shows good pefomance and thus can be used as vaious boadband applications such as missile, wieless, satellite, mobile communication, and militay.
