3 GENERAL INFORMATION Use Directory Assistance (Audix) Directory assistance is just like a telephone book. If you know the name of a person, you can use AUDIX directory assistance to find that person's extension. Also, if you have an extension, you can use directory assistance to find the name of the person with that extension. Press **N or **6 from anywhere in the system. Do one of the following: If you want to hear the extension number associated with a name, enter the name (last name first, with no spaces between the first and last name), then press #. If you want to hear the name associated with an address, press *A or *2, enter the address, then press #. NUMBERS TO REMEMBER IS A RECORDED MESSAGE, YOU CAN REACH ANY EXTENSION, DIRECT INWARD DIAL (did), IN-HOUSE NUMBER (2244), OR STUDENT VOIC NUMBER (4801) BY DIALING AND THEN ENTER THE 4-DIGIT NUMBER. This is active on a 24-hour basis. Use *H or *4 anytime for help when administering AUDIX functions. Use **8 or **U to undelete a message. This will restore a message only if used immediately after deleting message. AUDIX VOICE MAIL TO CALL AUDIX FROM YOUR OFFICE - DIAL 8160 TO CALL AUDIX FROM OUTSIDE THE BUILDING - DIAL TO LOGIN THE FIRST TIME: Dial 8160 or Enter extension number and the # sign Dial the # sign only for the password When requested to record your name - say YOUR NAME ONLY! When requested to enter password - enter 7 digits plus the # sign TO LOGIN AFTER THE FIRST TIME: Dial 8160 or Enter your Extension number followed by the # sign Enter your 7-digit password followed by the # sign

4 STANDARD MAILBOX PARAMETERS: Retention time: 10 calendar days Total message space: 20 minutes Individual message limit: 2 minutes Press *H AT ANYTIME FOR MORE INFORMATION OR HELP. Press *T TO TRANSFER OUT OF AUDIX TO AN EXTENSION TO ACCESS STUDENT VOICE MAIL AND/OR IN-HOUSE NUMBERS (24-HOUR BASIS): DIAL THEN ENTER THE 4-DIGIT EXTENSION. CREATE PERSONAL GREETINGS Your system allows you to record and store several personal greetings, each for a specific situation. You can manually activate each greetings as needed, or you can keep a number of greetings active at once. RECORD GREETING Press 3 from the Activity Menu. listen to a summary of active greetings. Press 1 to record or re-record a greeting. Enter a number (1-9) for the greeting. Speak greetings at the tone. Press 1 to stop or pause. EDIT Press: 1 to continue. 2 3 to play back. *D to delete Press # to approve. ACT ON NEW GREETING TIPS Do one of the following: Press # to leave the greeting inactive. Follow the prompts to activate the greeting The system greeting is always greeting O. The system doesn't care what single-digit number you assign to each greeting Keep track of your greetings by noting them or by scanning them.

5 ACTIVATE PREVIOUSLY RECORDED GREETINGS Press 3 from the Activity Menu. Enter the greeting number. Follow the prompts to activate for all calls or for individual call types. SCAN ALL GREETINGS Press3 2 from the Activity Menu Listen to first greeting status statement. Press any combination of the following: O to listen to a greeting. 1to re-record a greeting. *D or *3 to delete and skip to the next greeting 2 to return to the previous greeting. # to save and skip to the next greeting. Then press * # to quit scanning ACTIVATE OTHER EXISTING PERSONAL GREETINGS If you have already recorded personal greetings and you now want to activate them for (up to 3) selected call types: Press 3 Press 3 Choose one: Identify the greeting, 0-9, you want to activate. (System greeting is 0) If you enter a number for a greeting not yet recorded AUDIX will ask you to select another number. When finished activating greetings, Press * # and return to step 2. Choose one, and return to stop 3: To use greeting for all calls, press 0 To use greeting for internal or busy calls, press 1 Press 2 to see if greeting is active Press 0 to play the greeting Press *D to delete the greeting, then to to step e of Record a New Greeting Repeat step 5 as necessary Press * # to approve greeting as is.
