Bode Collection Point Electronic DNA Sample Information Program Technical Specifications Product Definition Bode Collection Point software is used to collect and report personal information and other meta data that will be subsequently mapped to DNA samples at a later date. This includes the following information collected and functionality. Electronic Data Capture of known DNA sample providers Personal information verification includes all data fields entered into the record Monitors system for duplicate entries Allows for varying levels of role based access Hardware Interfaces 1. Collection Point interacts with a locally installed electronic signature pad attached to local machines at sample collection stations and the sample collection lab. The signature pad is capable of reading and generating an image of the signature programmatically. 2. Collection Point interacts with a locally installed web camera attached to local machines at sample collection stations and the sample collection lab. The camera must be capable of creating an image programmatically. 3. Collection Point interacts with a locally installed fingerprint reader attached to local machines at sample collection stations and the sample collection lab. The reader is capable of reading and generating an image of a scanned fingerprint programmatically. NOTE: Fingerprint collection is for information/ verification purposes only. Collected fingerprints are saved within the software and are not uploaded to AFIS. Software Interfaces The Collection Point software application interacts with third party API components for integration with web cameras, fingerprint scanners and signature pads installed on local machines.
Functionality Details Data Entry Search Reports 1. Document subject information at the point of collection. 2. Configure collection information to capture the information your agency requires. 3. Upload multiple files associated with a subject s record. These files can include images, documents, scanned reports, video, etc. After attaching, these files are associated with a personal data card and are listed at the bottom of the personal data card page in thumbnail format. Users then have the ability to download and view attachments at any time. 1. Users with authorized access can search record data across multiple fields. 2. Records matching search criteria are returned in a grid format where users can select to edit/view the record. 3. Keywords used in searching records by each user are maintained for reporting purposes. 4. Administrator users can delete individual or multiple search result records from the search results. 5. If a User role selects a record in the search results, they are taken to a Viewer printable form instead of the data entry screen. 1. A User Activity Report is available which shows all record activity performed by a selected user. 2. A Record Activity Report is available which shows all history performed for a selected record. 3. Users have the ability to export reports into MS Excel. File Upload and Viewing 1. Users can upload multiple files associated with a personal data card record. 2. Administrators can limit the size of file uploads via a configurable setting. 3. Files associated with a personal data card that are images are listed at the bottom of the personal data card page in thumbnail format. 4. Users have the ability to download attachments. 5. Files associated with a personal data card are allowed to be deleted when the personal data card is in edit mode.
Manifests 1. Users are able to select un-manifested records from a list and assign them into a manifest collection. 2. Only un-manifested records are included in the selection list. 3. Once a manifest is created, the associated records are removed from the selection list. 4. Users are able to view and select from a list of manifests which when selected will provide a detailed listing of all record fields within the selected manifests. 5. Manifested records are exportable to MS Excel. Transaction History 1. A transaction history of all record inserts, updates, reads and deletes are recorded for review purposes. 2. Transaction history records are made available for export. 3. The ability to clear existing transaction history records is available. 4. Only Administrators have access to transaction history. Delete & Expunge Logout Login 1. Administrative users have the ability to expunge selected records, which will remove any existence of personal or sample information, including transaction history. 2. Administrative users have the ability to delete selected records, which will put them in an inactive state for viewing purposes; however, will still maintain transaction history. 3. If a record is deleted, a comment must be provided and recorded. 1. Users can log out of the system, thereby securely closing all session data. 2. Logging out of the system returns the user to the application login screen. 1. Authentication via a user name and password combination is required before any user is provided access to the Collection Point application. 2. For security purposes, after five consecutive failed password attempts for a known login ID, the account for the entered login ID are locked out and requires an Administrator to reset the lock.
External System Requirements Database The Collection Point software application s data store shall reside in a normalized SQL Server 2008 R2 database. Application Server Collection Point is an ASP.NET 4 based web application and will require Internet Information Server (IIS) version 6 or 7. Client The Collection Point software application is designed to work with any HTML 4 compliant web browser and have a consistent look and feel regardless of the specific web browser being used. Server Hardware/Software Windows Server 2003 SP1/SP2, Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Server 2008, or Windows Server 2008 R2. Note: 32 bit and 64 bit Operating Systems are supported. Microsoft.Net 3.5/4.0 Framework (not required if server hosts the database only). Web server(s): Server class processor. Xeon or Core i7 equivalent or greater. 6GB RAM each.
