Shaha, MD, FACS Professor Ashok Shaha is an Attending Surgeon on the Head and Neck Service at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, Professor of Surgery at Cornell University Medical College, and holds the Jatin Shah Chair in Head and Neck Surgery at MSKCC, USA. Daniel Fliss, MD Prof. Dan M. Fliss is Chairman of the Division of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery and Maxillofacial Surgery at Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center and the Faculty of Medicine Tel Aviv University, Israel. Jan B. Vermorken, MD, PhD Prof. Vermorken devotes a significant amount of time to teaching, professional training, and continuing medical education. He was Professor of Oncology at the University of Antwerp, and head of the Department of Medical Oncology at the Antwerp University Hospital from 1997 to 2009. He continues to serve there as Consultant. Piero Nicolai, MD His clinical and research activities are mainly focused on head and neck oncology and endoscopic sinus and skull base surgery. Prof. Piero Nicolai, MD is Chairman of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Brescia, Italy. Brian O Sullivan, MD, FRCPC, FRCPI, FFRRCSI (Hon) Brian O Sullivan is a Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology and the Department of Otolaryngology / Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Toronto. He holds the Bartley- Smith/Wharton Distinguished Chair in Radiation Oncology in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the Princess Margaret Hospital, University of Toronto, Canada. Alexander Rapidis, MD, DDS, PhD, FACS He is honorary lecturer since 1990, Professor Rapidis has been Chairman of the Department of Head and Neck / Maxillofacial Surgery in the Greek Anticancer Institute, Saint Savvas Hospital, Athens. He is also Chairman of the Comprehensive Multidisciplinary Therapeutic Management Team in head and neck cancer in the same institute, Athens, Greece. IFHNOS World Tour Background The World Tour is meant to spread knowledge around the world. Leading experts in the fields of head and neck surgery, radiotherapy and medical oncology travel to different places around the globe to share their knowledge. After a very successful World Tour Program in 2008 and 2010, the IFHNOS is again offering a global continuing medical education program featuring the most respected leaders in the field of head and neck surgery, radiotherapy and oncology. The program will provide state-of-the-art knowledge and explore the frontiers of head and neck cancer diagnosis and treatment through introductory lectures; intense interactive discussions with regional specialists through case presentations and demonstration of operative techniques through video sessions. Issues pertaining to diagnostic work-up, anatomic and functional imaging, biomarkers, and the role of surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and rehabilitation, etc. will be covered where appropriate within the context of the selected topics.
