Safe Driver Guide This Guide sums up the key features ad requiremets of your Safe Driver policy, so you ca uderstad how it works at a glace. The clauses cotaied i this Guide ad the followig Terms ad Coditios are i additio to those i the Bell from Admiral Guide to your Cover booklet, available at www.bell.co.uk, ad must be read i cojuctio with the policy documetatio eclosed i your Welcome Pack. By purchasig this Safe Driver policy, which utilises Telematic techology, you are agreeig to the followig policy features ad processes: Your Safe Driver uit Istallatio You coset to havig a Safe Driver uit professioally istalled i the isured vehicle, ad agree to make the vehicle available to our istallatio team withi 30 days of purchasig the policy. Where you are ot the ower of the vehicle you agree that the ower has coseted to this. We or our istallers will cotact you directly to cofirm a appoitmet. If the appoitmet is ot coveiet, you may arrage a more suitable alterative appoitmet as log as it falls withi the first 30 days of the cover period. The uit will be fitted discreetly by professioal egieers who have bee traied accordig to strict guidelies. The Safe Driver uit is compatible with ay type of car ad should ot affect maufacturer or aftermarket warraties that may apply to the isured vehicle. Our istallers will edeavour to visit at a time ad locatio of your choice, however some restrictios may apply. If for ay reaso we are ot able to istall the uit due to our failure or techical difficulties, you may choose to termiate the policy ad will be eligible for a full refud of ay premium paid, subject to you ot havig claimed uder the policy. If you fail to comply with istallatio i the first 30 days, we will treat this as a cacellatio request, ad termiate your policy with seve day s otice, i writig, to your last kow address. Alteratively, i these circumstaces we may offer to revert your policy to a stadard Bell policy, i which case you will lose ay discouts or policy features associated with the Safe Driver policy. Documet Ispectio Like may isurers, whe a policy is purchased we perform a check o customer documets. Rather tha havig to sed these to us by post, all you eed to do is show them to the istaller, who will use a secure app to sca them ad sed them to us wirelessly. Please preset the followig documets to your istaller: Your Drivig Licece Photocard Your Drivig Licece Paper Couterpart Our istallers will ot be authorised to istall the Safe Driver uit i your vehicle if you fail to provide the relevat documetatio, i which case a missed appoitmet fee of 30 may apply. Your policy may also be cacelled if you fail to Page 1

The uit allows us to uderstad how smoothly you drive your car, how far you travel ad what time of day you drive. Cosistet good drivig could ear you a better reewal price! We use the data the uit seds us to assess the way your car is drive ad the we tur this ito a score based o how safe we iterpret your drivig to be. Your score will place you i oe of several performace groups, which will show you how you compare to other policyholders. You ca view details of your curret performace group, ad see how it has chaged over time via your ow persoal dashboard website. How does my drivig affect my score? We look at a rage of drivig behaviour ad vehicle use to work out your drivig score. Some factors which have a large impact o how you score are: Harsh drivig Acceleratig ad brakig harshly or suddely gives other road users less time to react to your movemets, ad also teds to bur more fuel. Aticipatig your ext move ad drivig smoothly will help your score ad your fuel bill too! Late Night Drivig - Drivig i the late eveig through to the early hours is the riskiest time to be o the road Statistically this is whe the most serious accidets occur, especially for youg drivers. Try to avoid late drives to get the best score. Speedig - If you frequetly drive above the speed limit this will reduce your score. Drivig at a speed appropriate for the road ad coditios is the safest approach ad will help you maximise your score. Your score ad Performace Group are based o the way your car is drive cosistetly over time, so the occasioal harsh evet, late trip or a emergecy stop is ulikely to chage your group. If you are a smooth, cosistet driver that avoids late-ight drivig you are more likely to be i a high Performace Group, ad be eligible for a lower premium at reewal. Drivers who score i the lower Performace Groups may see their premium rise at reewal. It is importat to remember that your drivig score ca be affected by the way other people drive the vehicle, so make sure your amed drivers are aware of this ad remid them to follow your example behid the wheel! Policy Details Your isurace premium is based o the iformatio you declared to us durig the quote ad purchase process, so it is importat to make accurate declaratios to esure you are covered i the evet of a accidet. We use the data the Safe Driver uit seds to check the accuracy of policy iformatio, ad will cotact you i the evet of ay queries, or if we feel that chages may be required to your policy. Page 2
Mileage The aual mileage you declare at the start of your policy acts as your mileage limit for the policy term. If the Safe Driver uit data shows you will exceed this amout by a sigificat margi of 25% or more, we will cotact you ad update your policy details with a higher mileage limit which may icrease your premium. Review Poits If whe you purchased the policy you agreed to a review poit six moths ito the policy term, we will compare your drivig score to that of other policyholders, ad adjust your premium based o how you have performed. We will iform you of ay chages to your premium i writig. Premium chages will be capped at the levels you agreed to whe you purchased the policy. If you are usure whether you have agreed to ay review poits, please refer to your welcome email or call us o 0871 882 1112 for cofirmatio. Please ote, if you make a fault claim agaist your policy before your review date, you will o loger be eligible for a discout at the review poit. Assistace Calls If the Safe Driver uit detects a impact which is severe eough to idicate a crash, it will attempt to otify our assistace team, who may try to cotact you via the telephoe umbers you have provided to check you are safe, ad to offer you crash assistace i lie with the cover you hold uder your policy. Please esure you provide us with correct mobile cotact umber(s) whe you set your policy up, ad keep your policy up to date with ay chages i order for this service to be effective. We will oly discuss such matters with the Policyholder, Named Drivers, Spouses or Parets, as outlied i the Istructios sectio of the Guide to your Cover. Please ote this service is ot guarateed, ad it is importat that you take all available measures to safeguard yourself ad ay other party ivolved i a accidet, iformig the emergecy services where appropriate. Calls from mobiles ad other etworks may vary. Fees ad Charges There is o charge to you for iitial istallatio ad use of the Safe Driver uit. You will ot be charged ay fees if your uit develops a fault ad techical support or a egieer call out is required. You will ot be charged ay fees if you reach the ed of your policy term ad decide ot to reew your Safe Driver policy. However, i the circumstaces below the followig fees will become due: You must iform us beforehad if you ited to chage your vehicle. The Safe Driver uit i your old vehicle will eed to be deactivated, ad a ew oe will be fitted to your ew vehicle. This process will icur a 40 service ad fittig charge. Page 3
If you cacel a arraged appoitmet with oe of our istallers with less tha 24 hours otice, or fail to atted a pre-booked istallatio appoitmet, you will be charged a 30 fee to cover costs icurred by the istallers. If you decide to cacel your policy before the agreed policy term eds, the uit will be deactivated ad you will be subject to a discoectio fee of 100. This fee is i additio to ay mid-term cacellatio fees detailed i the i the Bell Guide to your Cover booklet. If you decide you o loger wish to utilise the Safe Driver uit istalled i your vehicle durig the policy term, this will be treated as a cacellatio request ad the discoectio fee will apply. If you choose to cacel your policy withi the first 14 days, before the uit is istalled, the our cacellatio charge of 22.50 applies (subject to you ot havig made a claim uder the policy). However if you choose to cacel your policy withi the first 14 days ad your Safe Driver uit has already bee fitted, the you will also be subject to the 100 discoectio fee oted above. Your Data ad Privacy We take your privacy seriously, ad are committed to dealig with your data i accordace with the Data Protectio Act 1988 ad Europea Data Protectio Directive. We will ever voluteer iformatio about your drivig to the police or other authorities uless either you coset to this, we are required to by law, or fraud is suspected. We, Our, Us meas Bell, a tradig ame of EUI Limited, part of the Admiral Group. OCTO meas Octo Telematics S.p.A, who provide the services associated with the Telematic Uit Your Vehicle meas the private car isured uder the isurace policy. Supplemetary Terms & Coditios Summary It is a coditio of this isurace policy that you have a Telematic Uit istalled i the isured vehicle ad that it remais i use at all times. The uit is owed by EUI Limited, tradig as Bell Isurace. The uit is licesed to you for the purposes of your Bell isurace policy, icludig services related to the policy. The uit is comprised of a small box ad coectors, which will be fitted discreetly ito your vehicle professioally by a approved istaller service. We will arrage for a techicia to visit you ad istall the device. The device allows us to verify the maer i which the vehicle is drive, ad to check iformatio you have provided such as the aual mileage the vehicle covers ad where it is kept overight. Istallatio Our appoited istallers are fully traied to istall the Telematic Uit i your vehicle to appropriate idustry stadards, ad they will do so with reasoable care ad diligece. We or our istallers will cotact you to arrage a time ad locatio for the istallatio of the Telematic Uit i Your Vehicle. IMPORTANT The Telematic Uit must be istalled i your vehicle withi the first 30 days of the policy, or your isurace policy will be cacelled. Shortly after you purchase the policy, our istallers will cotact you by phoe call ad SMS message to book a istallatio appoitmet. If you miss the calls, you should cotact the istallers by telephoe to book a appoitmet, usig the cotact details they have provided via SMS or voicemail. At the poit of bookig, our istallers will edeavour to provide you with a choice of coveiet appoitmets at suitable locatios withi the 30 day timescale. If you rearrage a appoitmet, you must esure the ew appoitmet falls Page 5
Page 6 withi the first 30 days, or you risk policy cacellatio. It is your resposibility to esure that the Registered Keeper or ay other party who has a iterest i the owership of your vehicle (such as your parter or a hire purchase compay) has agreed that the Telematic Uit ca be istalled i your vehicle. It is also your resposibility to esure that ayoe else who uses your vehicle is aware that a Telematic Uit is istalled, ad that it gathers data about the use of the vehicle. As part of the services provided uder this policy, summary drivig iformatio idicatig a Performace Group is available via a web portal to which the policyholder is give access. All users of the vehicle should be aware that this summary data relates to the overall way the vehicle is drive, but does ot attempt to idetify which driver was drivig at ay particular poit. Late Cacellatio of Appoitmet If you do ot preset your vehicle at the time ad locatio agreed with us or our istallers for the istallatio or de-istallatio of the Telematic Uit, or if you cacel such a appoitmet with less tha 24 hours otice the you will be charged a fee to cover the costs the istallers icur as a result. This fee is set at 30, ad this amout will be charged to you via your Bell policy. Dealig with Faults ad Limitatios of Service We, via Octo s appoited etwork of istallers, will perform the iitial istallatio of the Telematic Uit at o charge to you. The Telematic Uit has obtaied all the relevat techical approvals ad idicators of complete safety ad reliability, so will ot harm or iterfere with your vehicle. The uit is compatible with ay type of vehicle, ad should ot affect ay maufacturer or aftermarket warraty. The approved etwork of istallers cosists of qualified staff, who have bee carefully selected ad traied accordig to strict guidelies. The istallatio service provided is guarateed agaist faulty workmaship ad/or materials. Durig the agreed isurace term ay faulty or icorrect istallatio will be rectified free of charge. If, durig the term of the isurace policy, the Telematic Uit is suspected by us to be defective, we will cotact you ad make all reasoable edeavours to repair or (at our optio) replace the uit free of charge. If durig this term you suspect the Telematic Uit to be defective for ay reaso you must otify us as soo as possible, by callig our helplie o 0190 579 1717 to eable us to ivestigate, ad if ecessary to repair or (at our optio) replace the Telematic uit i your vehicle free of charge. Calls to the helplie umber cost o more tha stadard atioal rates from a BT ladlie, Calls from mobiles ad other etworks may vary. If a visit from a egieer is required to repair or replace your uit, you will agai be cotacted by us or the istaller etwork, ad give a choice of appoitmets to suit you. You must esure your vehicle is made available to our egieers withi 30 days of our request to ispect the uit, or your policy may be cacelled.
You accept that the Telematic Uit uses the battery power supply ad so there may be a small drai o your battery eve whe the vehicle is ot beig used. You accept it is your resposibility to maitai your vehicle ad battery i good workig order. To help alert you of ay battery issues, we will sed you a SMS alert if the uit detects a low battery charge. The collectio ad trasmissio of data by the Telematic Uit may occasioally be impaired or iterrupted by operatioal ad/or atmospheric coditios, power failures, or other causes, coditios or evets beyod the reasoable cotrol of Bell or Octo, or the capabilities of the Telematic Uit. The trasmissio ad receipt of data is depedet upo mobile telecommuicatios services ad you ackowledge that this service may be iterrupted, circumveted or compromised. If trasmissio of data is affected i the maer described i this paragraph, this does ot ecessarily mea the Telematic uit is defective. However, we ad/or Octo will make reasoable efforts to rectify the problem with such trasmissio where it is possible for us to do so. Wherever possible Bell will provide the services associated with the Telematic Uit, icludig the calculatio ad provisio of drivig scores ad web-based feedback, ad ay additioal services that may be developed ad implemeted durig the term of the policy. If, due to the coditios listed above, or due to the failure of oe or more of our Third-Party suppliers or the Telecommuicatios etworks upo which they rely, provisio of these services becomes impossible or severely impeded, the Bell may have to withdraw them. If this occurs Bell will cotiue to provide you with the isurace services you have purchased, with the omissio of the services related to the Telematics uit. I the case of policies that iclude Review Poits to vary the premium up or dow, these will remai at the iitial premium you were quoted ad o reviews will take place. I ay case of service withdrawal you will be otified ad give the optio to cacel your policy at o additioal cost. Durig the agreed policy term we may, at our discretio, replace the Telematic Uit at our expese with ay other Telematic Uit providig you with at least the same fuctioality. This will eable us to esure the Telematic Uit is updated if there are techological chages or improvemets. Tamperig The uit has tamper cotrols ad attack safe guards. If the itelliget alert system is triggered it will otify Octo of ay uauthorised tamperig with the device. A ivestigatio will be iitiated ad a physical ispectio by a egieer will be required. You will ot, or will you permit ay other perso to tamper with, reverse egieer, dismatle, remove the SIM or other compoets from, relocate or make ay alteratios, additios or improvemets to ay part of the Telematic Uit. You will ot, or will you permit ay other perso to tamper with the GPS/ GSM sigal that is emitted from the Telematic Uit. Whilst you are a policyholder, o oe other tha us ad/or our agets or service providers may istall, de-istall, modify or repair the Telematic Uit. Please ote Page 7
that tamperig with the Telematic Uit will ivalidate all warraties relatig to the uit ad istallatio. Damage or loss caused by ay form of tamperig or opermitted iteractio with the Telematic Uit is ot covered by this isurace policy. If followig a ivestigatio you or ayoe else is prove to have tampered with the Telematic Uit, you will be required to pay for ay actual costs we, the istaller, or Octo have icurred icludig deistallig, repairig or replacig the defective Telematic Uit or parts thereof. Your isurace policy will also be cacelled ad you will be liable for the discoectio ad cacellatio fees outlied i the additioal charges sectio of these terms ad coditios. If evidece suggests that the tamperig was performed deliberately i order to disrupt Bell s ability to collect data, we will treat the matter as fraud. Cacellatio of Your Isurace Policy ad Impact o the Telematic Uit If the isurace policy is cacelled all Telematic services ad features relatig to Telematic services will cease to apply. You should ot attempt to remove the Telematic Uit from the vehicle yourself as it will have bee itegrated ito your vehicle. We will ot be resposible for ay damage to the isured vehicle caused by de-istallatio of the Telematic Uit by you or ayoe actig o your behalf. To otify us of your itetio to cacel your policy ad discuss your optios, please cotact Bell Customer Services o the followig umbers 0871 882 1112. Calls to 0871 umbers are charged at 8p per miute plus etwork extras. Normally, if you cacel your policy midterm we will remotely deactivate the uit so it caot collect or trasmit ay data. As we ca o loger use this hardware, you will be required to cover the costs of such deactivatio. These costs will take the form of a discoectio charge, as explaied i the Fees ad Charges sectio, ad will be separate to ay cacellatio fees that may apply as part of your Bell policy. Similarly, if at ay time durig the policy term you o loger wish to use the Telematic Uit ad ask us to remotely deactivate it, we will treat this as a cacellatio request made by you ad discoectio ad cacellatio fees will be charged i lie with those explaied i the Fees ad Charges sectio. O occasios we may request that the Telematic Uit is physically removed from your vehicle at policy cacellatio. If this occurs the discoectio fee will cover the call-out ad removal charges we icur, so the cost to you will ot chage. If you decide to cacel your policy at reewal, the uit will be left i place i a discoected state ad will ot collect or trasmit ay data. I these cases you will ot be charged. If you wish for the uit to be de-istalled the a charge will apply to cover call out ad removal charges. Agai this will be equal to our mid-term discoectio charge. I all cases of cacellatio we aim to deactivate the Telematic Uit as quickly as possible after the isurace cover ceases, however due to the processig time ivolved there may be a short period betwee your policy beig cacelled ad the uit beig deactivated, where Page 8
data is still collected. If for ay reaso this period exceeds 7 workig days, the data collected after cacellatio will be aoymised ad disassociated from your drivig profile ad/or score. Damage to the Telematic Device as a Result of Accidetal Damage to or Theft of Your Vehicle Whilst the vehicle i which the Telematic Uit is istalled is isured uder your Bell policy the Telematic Uit will also automatically be isured uder the policy. If you make a claim uder your policy for damage to or loss of the Telematic Uit whilst istalled i your vehicle, ad Bell agree to settle this claim, we will repair or, at our optio, replace the Telematic Uit subject to the terms ad coditios of your policy, ad subject to the policy cotiuig. Your Drivig We use the iformatio from the Telematic Uit to assess how you drive ad look for patters of safe drivig behaviour. We compare your drivig to that of other customers who also hold Telematics equipped policies, ad calculate a drivig score based o how you drive, ad how your drivig compares to other customers. This calculatio is fed back to you i the form of the Performace Group we preset to you via the Dashboard website. At reewal we will use this score ad Performace Group to determie if your Reewal price should be discouted or icreased. I either case, you are free to choose whether to reew or buy from a differet isurer, with o additioal barriers to switchig or fees to pay. Throughout your policy term, we may periodically sed you remiders of your Performace Group, other scorerelated feedback, hits ad tips, ad opportuities to participate i scorebased challeges via email, SMS, ad i writig. These commuicatios will ot take the form of marketig or promotioal material. Accuracy of Policy Details We also use iformatio from the uit to check the accuracy of iformatio you have declared to us whe you purchased the policy. We will adjust or correct policy iformatio relatig to your aual mileage, where your vehicle is kept overight ad what your car is used for if the Telematic Uit idicates these details are icorrect or have bee misrepreseted. If ay such adjustmets are required which affect your isurace premium, we will otify you, i writig, i advace of ay charges or refuds beig processed. Mileage The aual mileage you declare at the start of your policy acts as your limit for the policy term. If the Telematics data shows you have exceeded, or are likely to exceed this limit by 25% or more we will cotact you ad update your policy details with a higher mileage limit. Ay chage i premium for such amedmets will be assessed based o your idividual policy details ad o flat rates for mileage icreases will apply. No premium chage will be automatically processed for customers who do ot exceed their stated mileage limit. Page 9

Who we are & how we will use your iformatio For the purpose of the Data Protectio Act 1998, the data cotrollers for ay persoal data you supply or that is recorded by the Telematic Uit are EUI Limited ad Octo Telematics S.p.A. Admiral, Bell, Diamod ad elephat. co.uk are all tradig ames of EUI Limited. We, EUI Limited ad Octo Telematics S.p.A ad ay appoited agets ad/ or service parters, will process your iformatio i accordace their respective resposibilities uder the Data Protectio Act 1998 ad ay applicable UK ad EEA legislatio. To protect your iformatio captured by the Telematic Uit, it will be trasmitted i a secure format. From the istallatio, we will use the Telematic Uit to capture data from your vehicle relatig to the date, time, speed, locatio ad other associated vehicle iformatio. We will gather data from your vehicle to eable us to: Test your Telematic Uit (e.g. durig istallatio) Provide you with a isurace premium based upo your drivig performace Provide you with ay additioal optioal Telematic services that are or may become available, where you agree to these at purchase or durig the lifetime of your policy. Third Parties Telematic data will oly be disclosed to other parties i the followig circumstaces: To our agets ad subcotractors for operatioal reasos, icludig providig the agreed services uder the policy If we are required by law to disclose the iformatio, such as to our regulators or if we are issued with a court order To Octo S.p.A, as detailed below EUI Ltd, Octo, ad those actig for both compaies, will use the data captured by the Telematic Uit for the purposes of: Calculatig ad chargig isurace premiums based upo actual vehicle usage, ad compilig ad geeratig Drivig Scores Cotrollig your persoal data for the purpose of providig you with services relatig to the isurace

We will process your iformatio i accordace with our resposibilities uder the Data Protectio Act 1998 ad Europea Data Protectio Directive Carryig out the istallatio, activatio, deistallatio, discoectio, servicig, updatig or testig of the Telematic Uit Geeral research ad aalysis, mappig purposes, researchig ad refiig techiques for aalysig motor Telematics data ad the supply of traffic iformatio. I all such circumstaces the iformatio will be used aoymously ad will ot idetify ay idividual, vehicle user, or the policyholder Eablig EUI Ltd, Octo ad ay service parters, to cotact you by post, electroic mail, telephoe or text messagig regardig the admiistratio of your isurace policy ad the associated services. Provisio of the isurace services uder the policy, icludig maagemet of claims, uderwritig ad policy servicig. Data will be used for ay uderwritig or claims developmet or ivestigatios that may be required, ad for fraud prevetio, detectio ad ivestigatio purposes Your iformatio may also be shared with the relevat isurace ad claims databases, i accordace with the Privacy Policy, show below. 1. Policy Iformatio Your policy details will be added to the Motor Isurace Database (MID), ru by the Motor Isurers Iformatio Cetre (MIIC). MID data may be used by the DVLA ad DVLNI for the purpose of Electroic Vehicle Licesig ad by the Police for the purposes of establishig whether a driver s use of the vehicle is likely to be covered by a motor isurace policy ad/or for prevetig ad detectig crime. If you are ivolved i a accidet (i the UK or abroad), other UK isurers, the Motor Isurers Bureau ad MIIC may search the MID to obtai relevat policy iformatio. Persos pursuig a claim i respect of a road traffic accidet (icludig citizes of other coutries) may also obtai relevat iformatio which is held o the MID. Claims Iformatio Isurers pass iformatio to the Claims ad Uderwritig Exchage Register, ru by Isurace Database Services Ltd (IDS Ltd) ad the Motor Isurace Ati-Fraud ad Theft Register ru by the Associatio of British Isurers (ABI). The aim is to help us to check iformatio provided ad also to prevet fraudulet claims. Uder the coditios of your policy, you must tell us about ay icidet (such as a accidet or theft) which may or may ot give rise to a claim. Whe you tell us about a icidet, we will pass iformatio relatig to it to the registers.
