Mercer (China) Limited. Mercer is company of MMC Group which is the one of biggest company in Finance insurance and HR consulting company around the world, is one of Fortune 500 companies. Hagemeyer CHINA In the early of September 2009, UST had successfully sealed a contract in setup the Microsoft SCCM(SMS) for Haemeyer China. This project will involve the Clients setup of 400 users distributed across Eastern and Southern China. UST manages to complete the first phase of the project by completing the headquarter setup with 2 operators by earlier March 2009. UST has successfully wined the tender honoured by Marsh to take up the first phase of the IT Infrastructure Project. The tender is worth RMB 1.7 million. In the first phase of the IT Infrastructure Project, UST will be engaged to design and implement the structure cabling for the manufacturing plant. The design must take into the consideration of minimizing the disruption to semiconductor cleaning room operation if additional data points are required in the future. Besides that, UST was also being engaged to design and implement the Campus Wide Area Network connectivity for this newly setup factory. Marsh has decided to deploy Nortel switches for layer 3 packet routing. In order to achieve 7x24x365 high availability and non-stop 24-hour production environment, the Campus WAN connectivity has to use 2 units of high end Nortel switches equip with Hot Stand-by Routing Protocol (HSRP) and Spanning Tree Protocol to obtain desired high and reliable performance. In order to achieve high demand of bandwidth requirement now and in the future, all the closet centers in the campus will interconnect with the data center by using Gigabit Technology. (S Fiege China UST rolled out a series of Helpdesk best practices that have resulted in transformation and revitalization of the BDP Helpdesk, among them: Consolidating all the helpdesk into a single, centralized helpdesk that responds quickly to customer problems within 30 mins via Help Online and 4-hours response time via Help Onsite. Highly trained, permanent staff members to work at the helpdesk with ongoing training to improve their skill level and equipment knowledge. Standardization servers, PCs, laptop and devices throughout China, allowing Helpdesk personnel to master the intricacies of a smaller number of tools. Intern, this simplification of hardware enables problems to be resolved faster. UST has dedicated project manager as a Single Point of Contact to ensure UST consistently exceed customer expectation. Among the challenges FIEGE was facing was in the areas of network reliability, standardization and performance; data loss, creating down times and inefficiencies for users with strict deadlines; and the lack of a powerful, standardized tool to back up its core operations. After assessing the infrastructure, UST began several projects to eliminate downtime and increase productivity. Working in close collaboration with IVY, UST developed an IT standards strategy as a primary goal to create a static environment that would permit future initiatives. The UST team identified three primary target areas to continually improve network reliability and performance the core switches at IVY, the main wiring closets and remote sites. The main Leased Line was upgraded with new and more reliable ISP that are many times faster than the old ones. The result: Internet bandwidth is no longer a constraint for IVY. Main Wiring Closets: The main distribution wiring closets at IVY were also upgraded with new switches. Obsolete and unreliable switches were removed, resulting in a decrease in network outages due to switch failures Remote Sites: UST refreshed the networks at Ivy s remote sites, improving performance significantly.
