MINI-SEMINAR AND HOLLAND BUSINESS BORREL(S) IN RIO On Tuesday November the 5th, and Rabobank organized a mini-seminar in the Associação Comercial do Rio de Janeiro. After a short introduction by Mr. Hans Mulder, Managing Director, and Mrs. Tanja Jungen, Manager International Desk Rabobank Brazil, Mr. Robério Costa, Rabobanks chief economist, gave Rabobank s views on the Brazilian economy and monetary policies, with ample room for answers and questions and open discussions. With a presence since 1989 in Brazil, Rabobank nowadays also attends Dutch companies which are active in Brazil or intend to start Brazilian activities outside the Food & Agri sector to service them locally. After that, a "Holland Business " cocktail was held, with Heineken beer and cheese imported from the Netherlands. The latter was provided for by Cheeseland Holland (seewww.cheeselandinc.com) through its importer Allfood (seewww.allfood.com.br). INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY ( Estágio conforme legislação Brasileira) The Dutch-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce is offering a full-time (6hrs/day) internship 2013-2014 for the function of management assistant starting Jan-Feb 2013, including the following activities: Practical assistance and guidance of foreign investors through Brazilian business administration, ranging from licensing and registration to bookkeeping, labor legislation, currency exchange, and similar. In some cases this comes down to the introduction of specialized service-suppliers from within the Chamber s membership, in others it is a hands-on approach of actual execution with the help of such specialists. Assistance in the coordination of special projects and events. General assistance of the management- and administration of the above. These activities require a great deal of intelligence and responsibility, hands-on initiatives in the atmosphere of a small team, and the ability to improvise. Supervision and coordination fall directly under the Managing Director. Mentioned internship could fit students, ideally in their third or last year studies of business administration, the work dealing greatly with administrative, legal- and fiscal matters. Initial Scholarship-reward is R$ 800,00 per month, which may be raised in time, plus transport and luncheon-vouchers.
