An Invitation After the success of last year s first conference, it is the pleasure of Birmingham Theological Seminary, Briarwood Counseling Ministry, and Truth in Love Ministries to invite you to attend our 2nd Annual Counseling and Discipleship Training Conference on the campus of Briarwood Presbyterian Church. We are committed to providing you this excellent training opportunity to learn more of God s Word and how to apply it to real-life problems. Our presenters are not only serious theologians but also compassionate practitioners who are involved in helping hurting souls and watching the Holy Spirit transform lives on a daily basis. We praise the Lord that He is allowing us to offer this rigorous training program which may advance you toward NANC certification. As you have already noted, you will be engaged in two very intensive weekends of learning with three training tracks: Fundamentals, NANC Exam Preparation, and Addiction. If you desire NANC certification, you will need to take all thirty hours of the Fundamentals track. If you have completed that prerequisite, then you should consider taking the Exam Prep track which will offer you 20 hours of writing time to work on your written exams. The Addiction track is new this year and will deal with that topic extensively from a biblical perspective. We have asked our workshop leaders to build in 10 minutes for questions, answers, and discussions. Our breaks and meal times are relatively short so that we can offer you the amount of hours required for NANC certification in the shortest amount of time. So, take a deep breath! Breathe a prayer seeking strength and focus! Prepare your heart to be challenged. Howard Eyrich
