Staff Nurse- Travel assignment, NICU- Crouse Hospital, Syracuse, New York 58 Bed Level IV NICU 6/2015 to current Certification Neonatal Intensive Care since 1986 Please accept this letter as my indication of interest in becoming a member of the board of directors of the National Certification Corporation. As a traveling NICU staff nurse, who has been NCC certified for the last 29 years, I am uniquely qualified to represent the bedside nursing constituency. My experiences working in multiple areas of the country with NICU nurses have given me an understanding of what certification represents and the challenges faced in achieving and maintaining it. I am an active proponent of certification for the bedside nursing specialties and it would be very exciting to be a part of NCC s continued leadership in advocacy and education moving forward as health care and the demands on its care providers continue to evolve. Thank you for your consideration of me for a position on the board of directors. Jacki S. Witt, JD, MSN, WHNP-BC, SANE-A, FAANP Post-MS Certificate, University of Kansas Med Center, Kansas City, KS JD, University of Missouri-Kansas City, Kansas City, MO

Certified Nurse Representative to the Nominating Committee Margaret Conway-Orgel, MSN, NNP-BC DNP, Medical University of South Carolina MSN, University of Hartford, West Hartford, CT BSN, Daemen College, Amherst, NY Neonatal Transport Nurse Clinician, Children's Hospital of Buffalo, 1983 Diploma in Nursing, Clara Maass Memorial Hospital of Nursing, Belleville, NJ Clinical Faculty: Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Medical University of South Carolina College of Nursing Charleston, SC Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Medical College of South Carolina Children's Hospital Charleston, SC NCC Certification Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, 1985 Nominations Committee Nurse Representative, 2013-present. As a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner who has been very active in my professional nursing association and has an understanding of the need to identify reliable, active nursing representatives, I feel that I would be able to continue serve in this role well. I have a strong track record of serving on a variety of committees both at my institution as well as nursing organizations and completing work in a timely fashion.

If I am allowed to continue, I will make every effort to reach out to the members of NCC who would represent their nursing subspecialty well and to encourage younger members to begin to take on a leadership role as part of their professional growth. I also believe that I can look at applications objectively and make recommendations based on what the board and directors identify as needing to best serve others. I look forward to having the opportunity to become more involved in NCC in a variety of ways.
