1. About Royal University of Agriculture (RUA) RUA established in 1964 and supported by French Government to provide higher education in Agriculture. Between 1975 and 1979, The university closed during Khmer Rouge Regime. The university re-opened in 1980 as an Institute of Agricultural Education; On 27th December 1999, the university was declared as a public administration institute. 1

1. Building Capacity of Institutions to Help Farmers Better Adapt to Climate Change and Variability in Cambodia. o Objective : To increase the awareness of climate risks management. To develop educational outreach materials and demonstration trials to increase farmer awareness of the need for, and benefit of, adaptation strategy. To determine the trends in climate variability. To Synthesize lessons from the project. 6

o Funded Agency and Partners : The project lasts for 15 months. It has been conducted in Prey Veng Province, and funded by: Ministry of Environment (Cambodia) European Commission UNDP Sida (Sweden) Denmark o Project s Partners : 1). 4. RUA s Vision for Future Climate Change Big concern on the Climate Change and it s effect, particularly on Agricultural Productions. Extension the awareness of climate variability to students and farmers. Increasing research and participation in other projects related to Climate Change. Conducting more research on new plants varieties adapts to the climate condition. 15

Contributing with the government and others organizations to secure food production and Climate Adaptation campaign. Intensifying local and international cooperation working on Climate Change. 16
