Get Started Step 1: Insert 2 fresh AA, Alkaline batteries into the TX37U-IT sensor according to polarity markings. Step 2: Insert the 6 volt AC power cord into the wall, then into the back of the alarm clock. Step 3: Insert 3 fresh AA, Alkaline batteries into the projection clock according to polarity (optional). Restart: If the outdoor temperature is not displayed after 3 minutes, remove batteries from the projection clock and outdoor sensor. Press any button on the projection clock 20 times. After 15 minutes, return to Step 1 above. Set Time, Date, 12/24 Hour, Temperature Units 1. Hold the MODE/MIN button to enter time set mode 2. Press the SNOOZE button to confirm adjustments and move to next item. 3. Press the AL/HOUR or MODE/MIN button to adjust values. Note: When setting time (hours and minutes flash together): o Use the AL/HOUR button to set the hour. o Use the MODE/MIN button to set the minutes. When setting the calendar (month and date flash together): o Use the AL/HOUR button to set the month. o Use the MODE/MIN button to set the date. Setting order: 1. Time Zone 2. Hour & Minutes (together) 3. Year 4. Month/Date (together) 5. 12/24 Hour Format 6. Fahrenheit/Celsius 7. Daylight Saving Time ON/OFF This clock has time zones from GMT 0 to +/-12h North American time zones: -4 h - Atlantic -5 h - Eastern (default) -6 h - Central -7 h - Mountain -8 h - Pacific -9 h Alaska -10 h -Hawaiian Press SNOOZE to exit, or wait 30 seconds without pressing buttons to return to the normal time display. Set Alarm Time 1. Hold AL/HOUR to enter AL/HOUR set mode. 2. Press AL/HOUR to adjust the hour and MODE/MIN to adjust the minutes. 3. Press SNOOZE to confirm adjustments and exit. Setting order: 1. Hour, 2. Minutes Press SNOOZE to exit, or wait 30 seconds without pressing buttons to return to the normal time display. Deactivate/Activate Alarm Press AL/HOUR once to deactivate the alarm. The alarm icon will disappear. Press AL/HOUR once to activate the alarm. The alarm icon will appear. Snooze Alarm Icon Press SNOOZE to silence an active alarm for 5 minutes. The alarm icon will flash. Press any button except snooze, to stop the alarm for 24 hours. Projection (Brightness, Rotation) When operating on AC power, the clock will project the time and outdoor temperature, alternating every 5 seconds. Note: The projection may be turned off but the alternating time and temperature cannot be adjusted to just time or just temperature projected. Brightness Adjustment (AC power): Press the Brightness (sun) button to change the projection: High Medium Low OFF Brightness Projection Rotate Projection: Direction Press the Projection Direction button to rotate the projected image 90 degrees at a time. Projection Arm Rotation: The projection arm will rotate 180 degrees to allow you to project on the wall or on the ceiling. Display Features Press the MODE/MIN button to select what is displayed below the time. Temperatures Seconds Alarm Time Date Backlight The backlight will come on for 8 seconds whenever a button is pressed. The backlight will not stay on constantly. WWVB Radio-controlled Time WWVB Icon will flash when searching. The WWVB icon will be steady when time signal received in the past 24 hours. For information about WWVB visit: www.nist.gov/pml/div688/grp40/wwvb.cfm WWVB Atomic Icon ATOMIC SIGNAL SEARCH: The projection clock will search for 1 hour between midnight and 6am until the WWVB time signal is received. After reception, the projection clock will only search for the atomic signal after midnight. Low Battery Icon When the TX icon is displayed replace batteries in the outdoor sensor. Position Outdoor Sensor Mount the outdoor sensor on a north-facing wall or in any well shaded area. Under an eave or deck rail is preferred. The maximum transmitting range to the projection clock is over 330 feet (100 meters) in open air, not including walls.
