Our Global Graduate Program The AXA Global Graduate Program is designed to give you the support and opportunities you need to become a leader at AXA. The program lasts on average two years but your experience could be shorter or longer it depends where you are based and what you are doing. But wherever you are in the world, and whichever department you specialise in, you can expect to challenge and be challenged as you develop into an expert in your area, on a learning journey that is unique to you. A unique learning journey We will take you on a fantastic learning journey which will be just the beginning of your AXA career. 1. Welcome and induction: Understand AXA s business globally and locally. Get to know your team and your department. 2. Field experience: Hands-on exposure which will give you a real understanding of our clients, products and distribution channels. 3. Global Graduate Camp: Three days at one of AXA s global locations where you will gain a global overview of AXA, network with top management and with your peers. * Terry AXA Graduate 4. Ongoing development: Enhance your leadership skills by being mentored by a senior leader and by being a reverse mentor. ** Strengthen your technical skills through learning programs that are in line with your individual development needs. Continue to network with your global graduate community. *Some exceptions may apply. ** Selection to be a reverse mentor is based on motivation/interest and a light selection process. Meet Gabriel Previous AXA Graduate Currently in France Three things from Gabriel 1 Going beyond my comfort zone I went to South Korea for my second assignment. The big challenge was adapting and fast. But for me, that was part of the reason for wanting to work in a new country: to go out of my comfort zone. 2 A manager, early on Right now, I am working as a manager in AXA Global Direct France, in the Technical Division. Yes, it is quite unusual to be a manager so early on but I believe that I showed the skills and qualities needed and my managers trusted me and gave me this chance. 3 Let s do this I love running. Sometimes when I am running I see this mountain in front of me. You need to climb it and you are just at the bottom and it is like Okay, let s do this. And it is the same in my work. Finance Join Finance and you will engineer and refine the strategies and processes that keep our global and local businesses running profitably and to the highest regulatory standards. Risk Management You will be part of a world-class team as you identify, analyze and quantify everything from natural disasters and pandemics to product and financial risk. Actuarial Focusing on the financial and insurance risks that face our business, graduates here apply and analyze complex models to give us insight into everything we do be that pricing a new product or predicting customer behavior. Marketing We ve been ranked the number one insurance brand in the world for six years running now an achievement that s as much down to the quality, clarity and creativity of our advertising campaigns and multi-channel strategies, as it is our great products and well-managed risk. IT We have recently opened our own innovation lab and we are committed shaping the latest mobile, digital and social insurance products for our customers. Where you could work Data The Data Scientist is a data-driven problem solver who tries to make discoveries from data. What sets the data scientist apart is strong business acumen, coupled with the ability to communicate findings to both business and IT leaders in a way that can influence how an organization approaches a business challenge. She/he is backed by three pillars: statistics, computer science and business understanding. HR HR graduates learn how to get the right people in the right place at the right time. Asset Management We manage the assets of the AXA Group and those of third-party clients from institutional investors to high net worth clients. You will learn to understand and analyze the needs, constraints and expectations of investors, and develop products which address client s specific situation and risk aversion level. Meet Dannae AXA Graduate Currently in France Three things from Dannae 1 Mexico Madrid Paris Home is Mexico but I started working as an intern with AXA in Madrid, Spain. After nine months on the internship, my manager talked to me and the opportunities available on the Global Graduate Program. I applied there and then! 2 Big challenges, big data My first big piece of work in Paris was a transversal Big Data project which involved entities from Asia, Europe and the UK. It was awesome to interact with these people, and learn from them, so early in the program. 3 An amazing mentor My mentor is my previous manager from Madrid. I am confident talking to him about everything and anything which is great especially as my family are in Mexico. Meet Zachary AXA Graduate Currently in Hong Kong Three things from Zachary 1 A global community AXA Hong Kong is much like the city itself: very dynamic with a strong multi-cultural community. Colleagues from different countries bring their own experiences and working styles. We all learn from each other and help each other to be better. 2 A new challenge in a new country AXA has the resources and ability to provide incredible opportunities for its graduates. My next assignment will be in Paris a new city, a new country, a new opportunity to broaden my knowledge. 3 Actuaries explained What does an actuary do? We help the business make sense out of data by analysing historical trends, determining the likelihood of risks and designing statistical models models which enable AXA to make sound decisions and develop the right kind of insurance products for customers. Hints and tips Although we are a big business, we know it is the little things that matter. So we have pulled together some tips to help you shine in your application. Take note of the application deadline for the roles you are interested in. They are likely to vary between countries and jobs, and we do not want you to miss out. Double-check your spelling in everything you send us, particularly when it comes to CVs and cover letters. Always be yourself and tell the truth, both in your CV and during the interview. Before your interview think about the skills listed in the job description. Try and remember a situation where you have used those skills it might be a university project, an internship or other professional experience then think of the action you took and the result you achieved.
