CURRICULUM VITAE MICHAEL VOLKMER, OWNER AND CEO Michael Volkmer was born in Augsburg in 1965. After having trained as photographer and then worked as camera assistant, he studied communication design at the University of Applied Sciences in Wiesbaden. He received national recognition for the first time for his diploma thesis Hotel Panico, a music CD-ROM for Udo Lindenberg. In 1994 he co-founded the agency Scholz & Volkmer in Wiesbaden with Anette Scholz. Michael Volkmer is the owner of the agency and, as CEO, currently jointly manages it with managing director Peter Post. As creative agency for digital brand leadership, its mission is to create unique communication solutions. The projects range from traditional corporate websites to other areas such as e-commerce, mobile applications, installations, dialogue marketing and digital live events. In April 2006, Michael Volkmer launched the see-conference on the topic of visualization of information for the first time; this event took place for the eighth time in 2013 in Wiesbaden. With more than 800 visitors, exhibitions by universities of applied sciences, artists and publishing houses, the see-conference is one of Germany s major design conferences. Scholz & Volkmer s work for corporate clients such as Lufthansa, Coca-Cola, Mercedes-Benz, A. Lange & Söhne, EnBW, Montblanc International, Deutsche Bahn as well as organizations such as Terre des Femmes, United Nations and BUND has received more than 600 national and international creative awards including the Grand Prix at the Cyber Lions in Cannes and awards at ADC Germany, ADC New York, the Clio Awards and the New York Festivals. Scholz & Volkmer currently occupies the 10 th position in the w&v interactive creative ranking.
