It is tiered, distributed and policy-based, and supports standard servers (Nodes) and any kind of storage technology. Data from the logical spaces (Shares) are placed in the physical storage (Pools) by the policies. Tiered Storage Policy-based tiering based on data retention. Oldest data is moved to deeper disk or tape storage. Distributed Storage nodes can be installed in various locations on the network. A set of connected nodes is called a Circle. The shares are accessible from any node.
