MAY Hands Across the Bay Mutual Aid Training and Exercise May 4 th and 5 th Oakland A Two-Day event that included one day of training and one day of exercise Located at the Oakland Coliseum Mobilized More than 200 Medical Reserve Corps Members and Disaster Healthcare Volunteers Tested Our Deployment Plans A Pre-Event Table Top Exercise included MHOACs A Post Event Internet Survey Collected Ideas and Recommendations
Friday was a full day of Training 16 Classes were delivered providing information and training in skills related to disaster services in medical and healthcare assignments
The local MRC teams were divided into small work units and had the opportunity to work with partners from other MRCs
This exercise involved the largest number of MRC units in CA history

Saturday was the Full Scale Exercise Day The Disaster Healthcare Volunteers Deployment Operations Manual was tested Three examples of Disaster Assignments were exercised Patient Triage Area (Marin Medical Reserve Corps) Field Patient Treatment Area (Fremont and San Mateo Medical Reserve Corps) Firefighter and Volunteer Rehabilitation Unit (Oakland Medical Reserve Corps)

Golden Guardian 2012 Disaster Medical Response Training and Exercise June 4 th, 5 th and 6th Sacramento A three-day event that included one day of training and two days of exercise to test the use of our mobile assets Located on the campus of Sacramento State University Mobilized 200 participants from over 20 public and private entities Participation included: 8 local EMS agencies, 3 health systems, 3 private ambulance companies (air and ground), 5 state agencies, 2 local fire departments, 1 local department of public safety EMSA staff and CSUS EMT students served as simulated victims receiving medical treatment Tested mobile medical asset plans
