Introduction ncoactive Continuity Cloud Protect your data and services from downtime and your business from losing revenue and its reputation. The ncoactive Continuity Cloud prepares you for unpredictable downtime situations by providing IT infrastructure that s both resistant to catastrophe and has the agility to recover quickly when disaster strikes. Achieving Business Continuity The ncoactive Continuity Cloud allows you to meet your recovery time objectives (RTO) and have a rapidly restore of business applications and data access. Multiple replication methods ensure your Recovery Point Objective (RPO) is met with a variety of features including the use of Global block level de-duplication, compression for WAN optimization, and utilizing a manual import process (seeding) that ensures that can help you make the most of your current replication bandwidth and IT budget. Standby Resources ncoactive provides both reserved and pay-as-you-go (standby) resources that mirror your primary IT site and they are ready when you need them. Companies have multiple choices of the offered data protection solutions that can scale up or down to address changing business needs. Multiple Replication Options ncoactive offers several levels of protection to help companies recover from downtime, the offerings ranging from a simple back-up to real-time replication and failover by leveraging the latest guest, host. A company s workloads can be replicated from virtual or physical environments to our high-availability cloud infrastructure and then hosted in a standby mode. Managed or Un-managed ncoactive offers a managed solution option that allows us to take care of a company s host-based replication to our global cloud datacenters. A company can also internally manage the process and use the ncoactive Continuity Cloud as a replication target. In-depth Monitoring Building on a unique hybrid agentless architecture with hundreds of policy modules for monitoring and alerting, ncoactive M&A gives you a complete view of their entire IT environment utilizing best practices. With a comprehensive Central Dashboard and over 80 predefined reports, customers can use the ncoactive M&A services to quickly discover all IP-based assets, identify business issues/risks, provide deep technological insight to IT assets, and efficiently conduct thorough network audits to alleviate concerns. Integrated Physical Appliances ncoactive supports mixed virtual and physical solutions with dedicated appliances and colocation services within ncoactive Cloud datacenters. Whether customers require physical servers, routers, firewalls, or any other hardware, ncoactive provides One of the most important parts of a successful DAR plan is IP connectivity. If the IP connectivity is unreliable and slow, then replication will often fail or may be impossible. To overcome these issues it s important to research the available bandwidth before proceeding to any other step in the DAR planning. 3

The ncoactive Continuity Cloud focusses on minimum transfer of data to overcome WAN issues and missing replication data in the datacenters. Once the initial data is transferred into the Continuity Cloud, subsequent replication only transfers delta data that has changed, which means less data is traversing the WAN connection each pass. Although there are options for sending the initial data to ncoactive, every customer s replication topology is different and will be analyzed by an ncoactive engineer during the initial intake process. As a basic rule don t ignore the bandwidth realities of a DAR solution. Address them upfront and don t forget to factor your existing bandwidth in the equation. Several other important components have to be investigated with respect to the local environment of the customer. Within the in-intake process an engineer will examine not only the available bandwidth but also: Data change rate per day/week/month Retention policy requirements Local storage environment and requirements Server and application infrastructure Known current issues (risk and impact analysis) Virtualization plans Depending on the outcome an advice will be provided to the customer to commit changes to the current environment or go ahead to the inventory phase. Potential changes in the current environment will ensure no major issues will occur during the implementation phase. Key features End-to-End solution A single solution for all your backup, DR, long time archiving and management needs Monitoring & Alerting A single management interface enables you to instantly manage your assets for potential breaches in security or issues on any application or device. Because we use block level all changes made will be backed-up and are restorable whenever necessary, local or remote. excepta Mobile stores the backed-up data in a very efficient way so the user does not have to worry about losing data or even worse, the Microsoft Windows environment including all personal settings and applications! By leveraging virtualization technics (local and optionally remotely) the entire machine can be made available on every removable storage device. If replication services are being used we can perform a Bare Metal Recovery to new hardware with exactly the same configuration, Windows/applications and data, as it was before. The Enterprise Plus version combines block level with File level backup to be able to comply with corporate policies. Separate replication engines will make sure only corporate data is being replicated to datacenters instead of entire volumes, which can have data that s prohibited to be replicated. File filters will ensure no prohibited content is being sent. Data backup has been avoided by many people due to the lack of an affordable, and easy to use, backup product. The ncoactive personal Cloud Backup (PCB) addresses these issues with fast, flexible and efficient automatic data backup and recovery functionalities. Using state-of-the-art technologies the PCB ensures data will never be lost and can be restored anytime, anyplace, anywhere. File filters, and folder selections, combined with corporate policy settings will ensure only allowed data is being backed-up and replicated. Archiving appliance The Archiving appliance is designed to help customers, who use our Backup & DR services and/or software from Dell/AppAssure, to automate their Archiving procedures based on server classification and schedules. The appliance is capable of Archiving large amounts of data to disk, tape and even the Cloud. Leveraging NTFS as well as object oriented storage in our datacenters customers can choose where data is being stored. Customers using Dell/AppAssure can add the appliance as part of their Backup and DR strategy with ease. Customers who do not use any Dell products need to have the Server & Storage and Archive appliances as separate blocks. Business Case BCAAS (small) A customer has two large offices based in the UK and the Netherlands. The UK has 5 satellite offices and the Netherlands has 2 satellite offices. All satellite offices in the UK replicate their data to the head office which enables recoveries, High Availability and all other functionality within the region. To overcome site failures all data is replicated from the head office to a datacenter. Same actions apply for the satellite offices in the Netherlands. By replicating the two head offices to each other the company has the best Business Continuity solution spread across multiple sites and countries. The unique features in the business case are (regardless of location): The customer is capable of restoring all business critical data, entire servers, and applications Create virtual standbys and perform Bare Metal Recoveries Setup Development environments Remote restores of data Full site failure coverage 18
