MBDA Business Center - Las Vegas Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA), is an agency of the U.S. Department of Commerce that helps to create and sustain U.S. jobs by promoting the growth and global competitiveness of businesses owned and operated by minority entrepreneurs. WHAT WE DO We work throughout the Nation to link minority-owned businesses with the capital, contracts, and markets that they need to grow. We advocate and promote minority-owned business with elected officials, policymakers, and business leaders. Serving as subject matter experts and advocates for the minority business community, we conduct high quality research and cultivate domestic and international relationships. Through a national network of more than 40 MBDA Business Centers and a wide range of domestic and international strategic partners, we provide Agency clients with technical assistance and access to capital, contract, and new markets opportunities to create new jobs. MBDA and its national network of business centers have supported the creation and retention of more than 33,000 jobs and helped secure $14.6 billion in contracts and capital for its clients, over the past four years (Fiscal Year 2009-2012). Our programs and services better equip minority-owned firms to create jobs, build scale and capacity, increase revenues, and expand regionally, nationally, and internationally. MBDA provides increased visibility and access for minority-owned firms by partnering with multi -national corporations, and government agencies in the U.S. and abroad. Through our network of MBDA Business Centers we provide customized business develop ment solutions designed to grow businesses. Build the Nation. MISSION STATEMENT MBDA s mission is to foster the establishment, growth and global competiveness of the nation s Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs).

MBDA Business Center - Las Vegas The MBDA Business Center Las Vegas here in Nevada is operated by the New Ventures Capital Development Company. The Center is part of a national network of funded centers located in major cities throughout the United States. The center works with minority business enterprises to generate increased financing and contract opportunities and to create and retain jobs. The Center provide minority entrepreneurs with one-on-one assistance in writing business plans, marketing, management and technical assistance and financial planning to assure adequate financing for business ventures. The business specialists have knowledge and practical experience needed to run successful and profitable businesses. Business referral services are provided free of charge. Charges and/or fees may apply for specific management and technical assistance services. MBDA Business Center - Las Vegas GLOBAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT Services include identification of export markets, facilitation of global transactions, international trade missions and market analysis, and overseas market promotion assistance. ACCESS TO CAPITAL Services include identification of domestic and global financing opportunities, equity financing, brokerage of financial transactions, identification and closure of merger and acquisition transactions. ACCESS TO CONTRACTS Services include identification of procurement opportunities, solicitation analysis, bid and proposal preparation, negotiation and closing, research contract award histories. ACCESS TO MARKETS Services include identification of export markets, facilitation of global transactions, international trade missions and market analysis, and overseas market promotion assistance.
