As part of our activity program, we are organising a program in Australia, focused on Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Management in the resources sector. The four week program will be held in November, and will involve a group of 15 20 representatives from governments and academic institutions from around the world. The aim of this program is to provide an overview of the nature and management of occupational health and safety in the resources sector. The program will be held in Perth, Western Australia. Field trips will be made to mine sites and to an Emergency Response Training Centre. Case studies will be presented throughout the program. A review and planning workshop will be held to identify follow up activities for participants to apply in their own contexts. Further details regarding precise travel dates and arrangements will be provided once we have confirmed participant details.
