PERFORM BEYOND EXPECTATIONS. THE PREMIER SHOWCASE FOR EMERGING APPLICATIONS

THE TEK CENTER At Berk-Tek, we know that selecting the right network infrastructure is a critically important decision. In this fast changing industry, making the right decision now can pay big dividends later. But how can you know what s really right for you if you can t see it,touch it and feel it. That s why Berk-Tek built The TEK Center, a cutting edge facility where you can evaluate options firsthand and work with Berk-Tek engineers to spec a costeffective system that will pay big dividends for years to come. At Berk-Tek, our #1 priority is to help our customers maximize their success. We can work with you to test different options you are considering. Want to see how different cables perform when subjected to certain levels of stress? Want to evaluate different options for your data center migration path? There are any number of different scenarios we could work with you on to give you the information you need to make the right decision. 2 The TEK Center

DATA CENTER The TEK Center features a working data center with several network architectures on display. You ll have the opportunity to touch, feel and experience different infrastructures and topologies. You will see different migration paths from 1G to 10G to 100G and beyond, and how you can condense more fibers (or copper) into smaller and smaller footprints using Berk-Tek s Micro Datacenter Plenum (MDP) fiber optic cable or our TekPatch Mini-6 28 AWG patch cable. We can customize our demo area to preview how different network infrastructures could work for you. Some examples of how include: Top of Rack (ToR) and End of Row (EoR) Above Rack and Raised Floor Migration paths from 1G to 100G and beyond High, medium, and low density solutions The TEK Center 3

ENTERPRISE The enterprise showcase contains examples of various environments including indoor, outdoor, security, office, campus and more. It includes a security demo using our OneReach PoE Extender System, which allows you to extend your PoEenabled network out to 4,000 feet. Additionally, we can demonstrate the effects of simultaneous transmission of voice, data and power can have on real world applications. Berk-Tek s direct attach solution is on display and you can see how the advantages of this solution when connecting numerous IP devices like 802.11ac wireless access points, IP cameras, etc. Take a test drive with the latest in IP convergence. RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT Berk-Tek has world class research and development facilities, staffed with engineers whose sole focus is to develop innovative structured cabling solutions. Two of those labs are: Applications Lab: We put our cables through rigorous testing of real world applications, in real world environments to make sure they perform as designed. Materials Lab: The engineers in the materials lab formulate and develop innovative materials and processing techniques for Berk-Tek s high performing cables. Berk-Tek develops our own materials in order to give us the ability to protect your network traffic from the heat of PoE like only we can. Berk-Tek is actively working to shape the future of our industry. We have a Standards and Technology group that participates in various industry standard initiatives. They know the latest developments within the standards and they are ready to help you plan your next project. The TEK Center 5
