Job Overview Blue Ion, an Interactive Marketing Agency, is looking for a mid to seniorlevel Front-End Web Developer to work from our office in Charleston, SC. You will be working on a wide variety of consumer brands in just about every industry; big and small; local and national. Primary responsibilities will be to help direct the functionality of websites and web-based tools, writing tight code using latest standards for HTML5, creatively using CSS3 and jquery libraries for form and function, and being fully engaged in Responsive Design.

With diverse backgrounds in Marketing Strategy, Graphic Design and Interactive Development, we set out to build a full service digital agency. Today, we offer a broad range of services, including marketing strategy, brand identity, graphic design for web and print, front/back-end web development, database applications, ecommerce, digital marketing: analytics, SEO, adwords, social marketing, and content development for over 100 clients. Job Requirements 3+ Years experience in web design/development. Expert knowledge in HTML & HTML5. Expert knowledge in CSS3 and tableless layouts. Highly proficient in Javascript: specifically jquery and jquery UI libraries. Working knowledge of AJAX implementations. Proficient in responsive design, grid layouts, and using @media queries. Proficient in mobile site development using jquery Mobile and/or jqtouch. Proficient in Photoshop for slicing layouts and elements and optimizing for web and retina display. Must work out of office, but can work remotely if need be during relocation.
Bonus Points UI/UX graphic design skills are a BIG plus. Working knowledge of PHP and Wordpress customization and theming. Working abilities with APIs, such as Google Maps, Analytics, Facebook. Understanding of database schema and programming, setup and queries (MySQL). Mobile App development for Apple itunes and Android Marketplace. MEGA BONUS for having all these skills and being a highly proficient application developer. Should have a good eye for design, suggestions and ideas to improve on the look and function of a site, and adding all the little things that tighten up a project. Have a good sense of humor, enjoy an open and collaborative environment, good at multi-tasking, but can focus on the work.
