2 Kiss Devs is an IT firm that seeks to provide a synergy between web and mobile development services. We are a researchdriven firm that focuses on user experiences with every product we develop. 4 Case Studies 1. Cloud Penzi May 2015 BRIEF: To develop both an Android mobile application to serve as a dating platform. An application to bring people together, suggest suitable dates and show nearby potential dates using Geolocation. The application features a system where users simply download the installation file, register/sign up with Facebook and can immediately access most of the features available. During normal use they are prompted to provide more information about themselves to enable better match-making. Users can view profiles and interact via instant messaging. Technologies utilized in this project include; PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, Java, XML, JSON, SQLite, RSA, XMPP, GCM. Tools used in the development include; Adobe Illustrator, Gimp, Sublime Text, Eclipse, various Web Browsers and Smart Phones.

My Mtaa April 2015 BRIEF: To develop both a blogging site which not only allows for input from multiple authors but also features deep social integration and provides a market place alongside the articles. The website features among others: - Articles by multiple authors - Facebook, Twitter, Google+ integration - Market place - Rich admin portal - Filters by multiple and dynamic topics/hash tags and categories for both articles and items on sale. Zealous Adventure Web System - August 2014 BRIEF: To develop a website for Zealous Adventure which is essentially a web system that has a front-end website where visitors can view vehicles on sale and a back-end through which the vehicles are added. The front-end categorizes vehicles into Local Cars, Imports and Machinery as well as a Featured Cars section while at the same time providing a search facility. Adverts can be placed together with the featured cars, visitors can filter their search to a certain vehicle make, by price range among other features available. A duty calculator is incorporated into the website as well as social media. The password-protected back-end portal provides administration for all these features as well as the system users. Technologies utilized in this project include; PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript & MVC. Tools used in the development include; Inkscape, Gimp, Sublime Text, Eclipse & various Web Browsers.

Last Minute Safaris Website and Mobile Application - July 2014 BRIEF: To develop both a website and an Android mobile application for the firm to showcase travel and accommodation deals brokered across the country with various hotels, tour companies, resorts and spas, etc. The website features a well-displayed search functionality on the homepage as well as list of recent Last Minute Deals at the bottom. It is backed by an excellent design with imagery sourced from some of the places that one can visit by ordering deals available on the website. Details such as the name, description, rating, price and the expiry date of a deal are well captured by the back-end administration portal and displayed on the website. The mobile application presents a similar scenario with added convenience such as notifications whenever new deals relevant to a user are posted. 8 5. Pesapass Mobile Money Transfer System March 2014 BRIEF: To develop a web-based financial management system and mobile app, Pesapass, a mobile money transfer solution. It is intended to offer mobile money transfer, mobile banking, payment services, loan services and contacts back-up across all networks and across the world. It relies on Internet services to effect the transactions. It uses US dollar as the standard currency while transacting across borders and local currency while transacting within borders. It is possible for an individual to have several accounts registered under different phone numbers operating on one application. The main identification is the registered phone number. The application will be partially integrated with government database so as to enable self- registration. 9 6. M-rent Rental Management System January 2014 BRIEF: To build a simple, web-based rental management application for agents, landlords and tenants. M-Rent provides insightful statistics to managers and an easyto-use report system for tenants. It features custom dashboards for each user marked with relevant analytics and advanced data security you would expect. The system are divided into categories among them Landlords, Agents and Tenants. 10 7. Trimo Security Website & Finance Management System November 2014 BRIEF: (i) To develop a website to present information about the company. (ii) To develop a web-based system that would digitize financial record keeping in the investigation company. The system offers management for petty cash, income, salaries, sub-contractor payments while at the same time providing summaries for all the aforementioned. The system is user-centric, removing all the complexities of most financial systems by offering a colourful and intuitive management dashboard. Magnum Car & Allied Services Limited December 2014 BRIEF: To develop a car leasing/hiring system which comprises a front-end website where visitors can view vehicles available for hire and a back-end through which the vehicles are added. On the front-end, visitors can view the latest available vehicles, search and even filter by body types, say Sedans, Pick-ups, Vans, etc. right from the homepage. More filters are also available for a more specific search. The website continues to display more information about each vehicle such as its year of registration in Kenya, mileage, fuel type, transmission, drive-line among others. Further, users can be able to book an available vehicle right from the website with varying preferences and receive the order through their address. Services, contacts, FAQ and some of their clients are also displayed on the website. The back-end handles user management, vehicles, blog, FAQ and small values that change regularly such as discounts. Technologies utilized in this project include; PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS & JavaScript. 12 9. Osoita Lodge Website October 2014 BRIEF: To renovate the initial website for the lodge. The previous website simply listed information in a non-dynamic fashion and in what was not an aesthetically pleasing outlay. The new website was supposed to improve on this and add more features such as an interactive location map and incorporation of Trip Advisor, which it does. The new website offers a modern appearance covering the entire screen while at the same time providing enough spaces to give it a serene look and clearly point a visitor to the attention areas. It offers details regarding room availability in the lodge, the restaurant and bar details and location. Also available is a review feature for the lodge, a page for the community; areas to visit around the lodge and a gallery. It also has a degree of social media integration. Ragged Mercantile Construction Company Website November 2014 BRIEF: To develop a company website to showcase their solutions, projects, products, applications as well as references to past projects. It offers among other features, a simple design, pages for products, applications references, contacts and company profile, interactive location map and a search functionality. 14 11. Digital Ebooks for Kwame Nyong'o April 2014 BRIEF: Done in cooperation with After 6 Labs, the project was geared at creating digital copies of e-books that had been prepared for print. The end result was copies of the e-books that could be accessed via any web browser. In so doing, they could either be streamed in the future or simply installed on the target machine. The digital books provided the advantage of convenience in access, incorporation of audio into them, controls for navigating through and saving on printing charges. 15 12. Makaazi Property Listing Website May 2015 BRIEF: To create a website for the company to list the property available for sale and rent. Such includes town houses, apartments, offices and even land. The web system features a homepage as that associated with many property listing websites with clear categories provided. It, however, provides filtered data for parameters such as high priority, featured and property-type filters right on the homepage. A rich search functionality is availed as well as the feature to navigate and browse property in a specific area.
