Famous places Chełmska Mountain Koszalin lies at the foot of Chełmska Mountain which is 137 m above the sea level. First notes of Chełmska Mountain come from 1214. From the twelfth to the sixteenth century Chełmska Mountain was a place of Christian worship. It has been known since the Middle Ages. Chełmska Mountain is the seat of the God s Mother Shrine and the convent. There is also a viewing tower on the hill.
Cathedral It is the most important and the most valuable monument of Koszalin. The Gothic Cathedral is located at 7 Bolesława Chrobrego street. The Church was built in the years 1300-1333. The Cathedral has four bells cast in Poznan in 1980 and one made in 1529 comes from the chapel of St. Nicholas. It is a Roman Catholic parish. The Cathedral is the place of Koszalin Summer Organ Festivals.
The House of the Executioner The House of the Executioner is situated in Grodzka street. It is a Gothic house from the 15th century. In the past it used to be dwelling place of the city executioner.
Amphitheatre The Ignacy Jan Paderewski Amphitheatre built in 1973 is a spectacular constriction. It is located in the Park, in Koszalin. Marian Czerner and Andrzej Katzer were creators of the project. Amphitheatre has a stage and auditorium which has 4,500 seats.
Koszalin philharmonic Concerts of classical music are held at the Philharmonic. 62 musicians work at the Philharmonic. The Philharmonic is located at 105 Zwycięstwa street. The Philharmonic is the organizer of the International Organ Festival.
Museum in Koszalin The District Museum in Koszalin was founded in 1947 and in 2009 entered the State Register of Museums. The museum is located in Młyńska Street in the Palace of the Millers. The Museum organizes permanent and temporary exhibitions and outdoor events. It is also involved in education and publishing.
St. Gertrude Chapel St. Gertrude chapel is located in Findera Street. It was built in 1384 on the actagonal plan it thge Scandinavian Gothic style. It used to be a cementary Chapel.
