Complete uninstall of exchange@pam The following steps have to be accomplished when uninstalling exchange@pam: I. Restore data IMPORTANT: It is essential to RESTORE ALL DATA which were archived in HSM back to Exchange server, otherwise these data will not be accessible any more when the exchange@pam is uninstalled. II. Unregister PAM forms III. Uninstall AddIn from the clients IV. Unregister OWA WEB forms V. Uninstall OWA component (and Direct Archiving if that was used) from Exchange Server VI. Uninstall exchange@pam Let s describe these tasks in detail: I. Prior to uninstallation of the software, ALL DATA being archived in HSM MUST BE RESTORED back to Exchange Server, otherwise these data will be lost after uninstalling of exchange@pam. To restore all archived data: 1. Run the exchange@pam Enterprise Manager (Start\ Programs\ exchange@pam \ exchange@pam Enterprise Manager). 2. On the menu bar select View / ArchiveRestorer. 3. Find any mailbox in the left pane. You can use Look for combo box for that purpose. 4. Right-click the mailbox and form the context menu select Wizard. 5. The Mailbox wizard opens. 6. In the Settings window click Add all button to add all synchronized mailboxes. 7. All selected mailboxes will be displayed in the Selected mailboxes list. If you select Delete document after restore check box, restored messages will be marked for deletion in the archive. Now click the Filter button to choose the message classes to restore. 8. 9. In the Summary window read the summary. Click Finish. II. When all data has been restored, PAM forms have to be unregistered: 1. Log on in Outlook with the super-user account (in our documentation it is referred to as srv_exchange). 2. On the menu bar click Tools / Options 3. Options window opens. 5. New window opens. Click on the Manage Forms button. 6. In the Forms Manager window select all PAM forms of the Organizational forms library which you see in the left text box and click Delete. III. Provided that Addin was deployed, uninstall it form clients. There are two possibilities: either run the Addin setup on the client machine and choose Remove option or in the command line enter: msiexec /x [path AddIn.msi file] NOTE: Silent mode is also possible (msiexec /x [path AddIn.msi file] /qn). IV. If exchange@pam OWA component was installed, you should first unregister OWA WEB forms that were uploaded in the Private Information Store and in the Public Information Store. That should be done on all Exchange servers where the exchange@pam OWA was installed (i.e. on all back-end servers): 1. On the Exchange server launch the OWANetInstaller.exe, located under C:\Program Files\ PAM \ Tools \ OWA. 2. Select Web Form registration option and click Next. 3. Click the Manage button in the Private Information Store section. 4. In the pop-up window make sure to select the check box of the yellow highlighted server. Then click Unregister. Then click OK and Close the Private Information Store web form management window. 5. If web forms were registered also for the Public Information Store, continue with clicking the Manage button in the Public Information Store section. H&S Heilig und Schubert Software AG page 6/8
6. Click Unregister, then click OK and Close. 7. Back in the Web Form registration window click Back. 8. Select Uninstall option. Click Next, then Uninstall. H&S Heilig und Schubert Software AG page 7/8
V. Only exchange@pam OWA component and Direct Archive, as optional features, are installed on Exchange Server. Just in case that any of them were installed on your Exchange Server it is necessary to run the exchange@pam setup on the Exchange Server to uninstall all dlls, services and applications. This has to be done on all Exchange Servers that had the exchange@pam OWA (and maybe Direct Archive) installed. VI. Uninstall exchange@pam on the exchange@pam server.
