One of the worst floods in the Jammu & Kashmir State in last 100 years Affected Districts In Kashmir Region: 1. Srinagar 2. Anantnag 3. Baramulla 4. Pulwama 5. Ganderbal 6. Kulgam 7. Budgam In Jammu Region: 1. Rajouri 2. Poonch 3. Reasi Population Affected More than 10 millions people Houses Collapsed More than 100 major roads and bridges collapsed/ cutoff for weeks People stranded in flooded neighborhood for days with no food and water No/ limited accessibility and communication Loss of Assets Loss of Livestock Loss of Agriculture/Crops Education and health system collapsed Psychological trauma

Midterm Shelter Target 70 HHs Dimensions of the shelters 20 feet in length, 12 feet width and 8 feet height Insulated with the 12 mm thermo cool and 6 mm ply sheets inside the GCI sheets. Materials could be reused during permanent shelter building in future Additionally, cash of ~USD 410 (INR 25,000) to 15HHs for shelter reconstruction in Pulwama

Health Camp Around 20 Health Camps With General Physicians and Specialists 4000 patients were provided the following: Free Check up Medicine Distribution including iodine tablet for water purification Mental Health Counseling Additionally, Distribution of Delivery Kits in Rainawari Hospital Surgical caps and gowns, Dettol Handwash, Dettol Antiseptic Solution, Sanitary Napkins were distributed at LD Hospital Couple of times, collaboration was done with JLNM and Doctors Association of Kashmir Reliance Foundation

Children Focused Survey in different areas in Srinagar have shown traumatised children due to flood Workshop with these traumatized children for engagement through theatre/ fun activity Interactive program in collaboration with SOS and Childline Srinagar at Dalka pura Ashai Bagh around 85 flood affected, traumatized children participated in theatre fun activity One day theatre workshop at SOS Village- Hyderpora around 35 children Street play (Nukkad-natak) with underprivileged children (~70) in Press Enclave-Residency Rd, Srinagar

Children Focused Childline Srinagar reached to society through FM 102.6 when all other communication collapsed and 255 cases received throughout Kashmir during these turmoil months Distributed relief to these children and their families Relief included the following: food packets, clothing, blankets, sweaters, bedding, stationeries, bag, notebook Distributed Diapers through Anganwadi/ Orphanage

Water Purifier Installation Multiple water purifiers have been installed in schools affected by floods: Four Schools in Srinagar (Such as Syed Hyder Memorial Educational Institute, Hyderpora, Muslim Educational Institute- Galvanpora, Hyderpora) One family in Batmaloo, Srinagar Two schools in Ratanpura and Begpura in Pulwama Three Schools in Baramulla Donor: KER, USA 400 families received water filters in Srinagar-Dal Area Donor: Kashmir Medical Trust, UK

Community Cleaning In collaboration with Srinagar Municipal Corporation and SEWA, cleaning of debris in Wazir Bagh, Tulsi Bagh, Gogji Bagh, Jawarnagar areas were done Larvecide was given to Bundipora and Srinagar Municipalities to prevent mosquito and other stagnant water related diseases- Donor- Anand Foundation

Awareness Drive on Water, Sanitation With Red R India as knowledge partner, multiple awareness programs were organized in affected districts With CARE India Sponsor, awareness drive on proper hand washing and its impact on preventing diseases was done in schools of ten villages of district Baramulla and three villages of district Pulwama and Health
