Scholarship Objective for 2011 Proposal Decouple Scholarship Criteria from Internship Shift focus to a TTEC Technology Project Competition Interested students pick an R&D project from list created based on input from TTEC members problems members would like to learn more about how to solve Applications would have 3 months? to research, prototype & prepare for presentation Applicants present to TTEC members; Research, Prototype, and lessons learned; if too many applicants, pre-selection committee picks top 6? TTEC members vote on top two as input to Scholarship Selection Committee Scholarship Selection Committee selects top two receive a scholarship
Scholarship Objective for 2011 Proposal Scholarship given out mid April to sync up with tuition payment schedule Benefit aligns with TTEC Vision/Mission; TTEC members get educated and exposed to top IT talent, earlier in their career Promotes IT growth in RTP, helping keep top IT talent in RTP Education IT students; learn about new technology; experience doing real project; presenting to senior executives; learning from competing applicants Opens scholarship up to HS Seniors as well as undergrads and grad students Possible assign TTEC member as coach for each project; maybe link with Mentor program Possible invite local companies to sponsor; donate technology and dev tools to specific to selected project Starting concept; if accepted, requires more detailed definition, including selection criteria Independent of scholarship, continue to promote internship in RTP
