Co-Coordinator and Facilitator, Bond University MBA Exercise (2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006, 2007). The MBA Exercise is a two-day program that is run once each year and conducted off campus for the new cohort of MBA students. Through a variety of exercises and activities, the program serves to emphasise leadership and group skills and prepare the students for working closely in teams over the course of their degree Co-Coordinator and Instructor, Bond Interact Leadership Weekend (1998, 1999, 2000) Bond Interact is a Leadership Development Program for selected year 12 high school students. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE Queensco-Unity Dairyfoods, Queensland (now merged with ACF) National Business Manager-Retail Grocery, October 1993 to September 1994. Responsibility for national retail grocery sales of approximately $43 million. The position required line management of two account managers, twenty-two merchandisers and brokerage operations in New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia. Reported to the Group Marketing Director. Left before merger with ACF to pursue own business. National Account Manager September 1992 to October 1993 Responsible for management of Coles-Myer Supermarkets account nationally and Woolworths Queensland. Accountable for sales of approximately $22 million. Reported to Sales Director. Kraft Foods Ltd, New South Wales NSW State Account Manager December 1988 to April 1991 Responsible for the largest Kraft account in Australia (Franklins) and a business unit, which also included Jewel and Bilo foodstores. Total sales budget of approximately $46 million. Implemented sales and marketing strategies to achieve authorisation, volume and profitability targets of the account business unit. Jointly accountable for State of NSW ($96 million turnover, field force of 12 territory managers and 31 merchandisers). Reported to National Account Manager. Grew Franklins to largest account in Australia. Winner Kraft Branch of the Year 1990. Left to pursue an MBA. Key Accounts Manager, February 1988 to December 1988 Implemented sales/trade marketing programs and policies to achieve planned sales objectives for a retail business unit including Foodplus and 7/11 convenience stores. Reported to State Sales Manager. Promoted to State Account Manager Territory Manager, March 1987 to February 1988 Responsible for a retail grocery (supermarkets) sales territory and management of team of four merchandisers. Reported to Field Supervisor. Promoted to Key Accounts Manager. Coles-Myer Pty. Ltd., New South Wales Trainee Buyer, Menswear. September 1985 to December 1986 Completed a 12-month training program in all aspects of retail merchandise buying and assisted the General Manager Menswear. Reported to Menswear Merchandise Manager. Left when head office was relocated from Sydney to Melbourne. 6
