ORIENTATION DATES (Academic Year 2013-2014) An orientation meeting is organized by the International Relations office at the start of every semester. International students are required to attend the orientation meeting relevant to his/her period of studies at ESC Toulouse as vital information is given at that time. Attendance is compulsory. Semester 1 Semester 2 An orientation meeting to be held in September followed by an Orientation Weekend organized by the Welcome Team (exact dates to be confirmed closer to the time of orientation). An orientation meeting to be held in February followed by an Orientation Weekend organized by the Welcome Team (specific date to be confirmed closer to the time of orientation) Nomination and Application Procedures o Nomination Nomination deadlines Semester 1 MSc 1 Semester 2 MSc 1: From March 4 th to March 31 st 2013 From September 2 nd to 30 th 2013 Semester 2 MSc 2 and Dual Degree: From March 4 th to March 31 st 2013 Nomination procedure Partner Universities will officially nominate their students participating in the exchange program with Toulouse Business School using our online application. An individual email will be sent to the person designated to officially nominate the exchange students with specific information on how to access the online nomination procedure. All nominated students will have to apply online to initiate the official process of registration with Toulouse Business School giving administrative, course and accommodation information. In addition to completing their online application, students will have to supply online the following supporting documents: A CV or resume Latest grade transcript A language proficiency certificate(english or French) for non-native speakers only Copy of their European Health Insurance Card for European students Copy of their Health Insurance from Home country for Students staying less than 3 months Copy of their Birth Certificate (translated in French or English for non-european languages) Copy of their passport (ID section). On completion of the online registration exchange students will be sent a letter of Admission. It is essential that students register on time to facilitate the visa application procedure. 6
Accommodation Finding accommodation in Toulouse may be challenging. That s why we advise all of our exchange students to start looking for accommodation as early as possible. The international office will try and help International Exchange Students find appropriate housing. Full information on accommodation will be available online at the time of Registration. Health and medical insurance During their stay in France, International Exchange Students are entitled to the Student Health Care System like any French student. They will be required to pay 207 euros for the year (based on the 2012/13 rate). This is mandatory whether students are insured by their National Health Insurance in their home country or have taken out private insurance except if they are: An EU student holder of the European Health Insurance Card who has taken out a private insurance policy A student from Quebec holder of 401 Q 102 bis forms over 28 years old Staying for less than 3 months We strongly recommend our International Exchange Students take and additional Health insurance in their country of origin to cover them in case of emergency while travelling in Europe and in case of medical repatriation. Welcome Team Each year, we recruit a group of ESC students whose mission is to welcome our International exchange students and help them settle in Toulouse on their arrival. The Welcome Team organises an orientation weekend for all our international exchange students. Please refer to Orientation Dates on page 4 for specific dates. Rent is due at the start of the month. Some estate agencies also charge agency fees which amount to 150 200 euros approximately (the deposit is due to be paid back to the tenant at the end of his/her stay) ** Price based on the Carte Jeune Tisséo (bus plus subway): for young people aged 16-25 years old. Language requirements/language courses As it is possible to follow classes either in French or English, we require a certificate of language proficiency (for English or French) for non-native speakers only.
