2 REGISTER EMPLOYER DETAILS: Put in a unique email, username and password for the person charged with posting vacancies for your company or organisation. Please remember to keep this safe and remember the details. There are forgot password and forgot username links on the home page, which will allow you to receive these credentials to your registered email address. 3 TELL US ABOUT YOUR ORGANISATION This section gives you the chance to let Northumbria and Student Graduates know about your organisation. This is important as it allows you to post a description about your business and promote where your strengths lie. This can be invaluable in raising your profile to Northumbria Students and Graduates and will also be the basis of how you can be found on Northumbria JobsOnline. For example, students may be looking for specific businesses within a certain region of the country who offer specific types of work. In terms of the type of work you can offer, there are up to 7 options and for your Work Sector or industry, you are able to choose up to 3 options. Click Submit to open your account and you will receive a message to say. Registration complete - Thank you! Thank you for registering for Prospects Net. You will shortly receive an activation email to enable you to access your account.
4 CONFIRM REGISTRATION AND THE HOME PAGE Once you have received the activation email, you should be able to begin posting jobs. If you don t receive the email after an hour, please check your spam and then, if there is no activation message. Please contact support@prospects.ac.uk or contact the careers and employment service using sv.employers@northumbria.ac.uk or call 0191 227 4204. On the opening screen once you log in, you should see the below format. This will give information from Northumbria University and also give a little bit of information on how JobsOnline works. There are also links to other careers and employment resources as well as a link to our Employer Homepage which details events and information which may be of interest. There is also a link to our Advertising Policy, which I recommend you read before posting any vacancy. If you have previously posted jobs, they will also be displayed at the bottom.
5 POSTING A VACANCY From the Vacancies Menu on the left click Add Vacancy. Then simply select the type of vacancy you wish to post: The next screen is a relatively large pro forma and requires you to fill in all mandatory fields, denoted by a red asterisk *. This is also a chance to add a logo (if you haven t done so during registration) and also promote your vacancy, to gain accurate and relevant applications. You will also be given the chance to promote your company and also give links to any specialist careers websites you have or external links that you feel may be of use to applicants. Make sure that you put in an apply method and try to ensure there is a closing date given.
6 CHOOSING YOUR AUDIENCE Once you complete the form on the previous page. The vacancy will be saved and you will be asked when you want the job to go live and who your job vacancy will ultimately be displayed to. To post to Northumbria University Students and Graduates is completely free. However, if you wish to promote the vacancy externally, or with other universities on the prospects network, there will be charges at differing levels. For further information, please visit Prospects. Once you have posted the vacancy you will receive confirmation and the job will then go to be reviewed before being posted. If Northumbria University Careers and Employment Service require any further information from you, we will be in contact. Otherwise, you should receive a confirmation to advise that your vacancy has now gone live.
