Program Details Principal Certification A school s principal is essentially its president. They are charged with managing the school s many teachers and operations. When it comes time to make a difficult decision, the final choice goes to a principal. If the right option is chosen, all the credit will go to them. However, if the school suffers from a decision, the principal will reap the consequences. These men and women are responsible for the positive or negative reactions that come from their school s performance. This is a tough burden to bear, but they can also make a large impact on their community s education. Our online program allows for students in full-time teaching positions to seek a higher certification despite their busy schedules. Our online courses contain the same level of content as traditional classes, with instructors encouraging students to collaborate and interact with them and their peers. The principal certification program is created for teachers who already hold a master s degree and who wish to prepare for the TExES Principal Certification Exam. To become certified, applicants must have at least two years of teaching experience in either a public or private school.
